Have we, the Korea NT, ever played Brazil NT in a friendly or any other events? I can't remember any in recent memories but i would guess we have long time ago, does anyone know?

Nope, not long ago at all. The last two have been:

November 11, 2002. Narrow two-three loss in Seoul with Seol Ki-Hyun and Ahn Jung-Hwan both scoring. Very similar to the France friendly before the World Cup.

March 28, 1999. A one-nil win in Seoul with Kim Do-Hoon scoring the famous winning goal.

Oh wow thanks for that info. I wish we could have booked them for a friendly before the WC. It would have been nice to play them.

I remember football really took off in my school after that match. I was maybe grade 5, 6 at the time? Most kids played basketball or baseball for recess, but the day after that, everyone was football.

We are the only Asian team that has ever defeated Brazil in international A match.

I really wish we actually end up using second string bench players in the actual game against Japan. We have nothing to gain there. Maybe we should use the 2nd tier to gain experience at the fully-packed Saitama stadium.

And depending on how the game goes, we can put in some first tier starters sometime around 60th minute so that we could say we did use our first string too.

Of course, stupid KFA will pressure Huh to use the best, and Huh will be forced to play all his cards...

It is a japanese booby trap.

Korea's Line up for this match in Tokyo should consist of players from Daegu, Chunnam and Suwon !!

Asian Debate: Could South Korea Become The New Australia?

Is the Asian Tiger taking on some kangaroo-like characteriscs?

The 2011 Asian Cup in Qatar will mark the first time that Australia and South Korea meet in a competitive match as members of the Asian Football Confederation but while contact on the pitch between the senior teams has been confined to a September 2009 friendly in Seoul, the two nations have more than a little in common.

Australia have taken a few leaves out of Korean books, mostly from the chapter titled ‘Dutch coaches and you’. Guus Hiddink (and almost Dick Advocaat) and Pim Verbeek have made the long journey to the southern hemisphere after stints in the Land of the Morning Calm.

    Australia Lose In Seoul

In return, Korea have taken on a few Australian characteristics of their own. The difference between the full-strength Socceroos and the team based entirely of domestic players has long been a source of concern down under.

How is the goalkeeper situation. Lee Woon-jae is still nr 1 right? Is Kim Yong-dae out of the picture? I like him.

Cool. Wish we could meet them at the Asian Cup itself too. They'd be coming at us fully rested with full force. All we have to do is use our youngsters like we did last time. Maybe we'll still beat them like last time? :D

We really need to use young players a lot for this Asian Cup too since our veterans will be more exhausted than anybody else.

On other news, it looks like Yeom Ki Hun will be picked in the squad. Back from injury and smiling. That is all.
