Does anyone actually watch it? If you do, you think people in Orange County really "are" that way?

*I mean I've been watching it and I love it!

    your thoughts on it??

Actually, I know they really "are" that way because The OC is based on my friends, my family and me.

Of course The OC is an accurate representation of the people of Orange County. Everything on TV is always true to life.

I grew up in Orange County and while painful to admit it, I must say people of Orange County are vapid and hedonistic to the point where the only thing i can object to with the show's portrayal is that it's a tad bit overblown and exaggerated for effect. Which is fine, tv is entertainment, it doesn't exist as a means of intellectual stimulation.

Also, the makers of that show needs to realize Malibu, Pacific Palisades, and Santa Monica look as similar to Newport Beach as Toronto resembling New york.

Indeed. It will not receive a single Emmy, only because its greatness goes without saying. It would be like giving the Nobel Peace Prize to Jesus. It would be redundant and even insulting.

All the Asians in Orange County live in Irvine and majority of whites in Newport Beach.

Not for nothing, but she's kind of ugly. Now the lady who plays her mom... DAMN!

You must be dating super-models then.

I think the lanky chick is pretty cute. She just looks like shlt in that photo. On the show, she's beautiful.

And yes, the chick who plays her mom is smokin' in that random hook-up skeezer type. Looking at her, she looks like she can rip a dude's nuts off and take out his soul.

That article is way too long for a show that trivial.

It wasn't the premier of the new season, more like a continuation of the season. The season started in the summer, then it took a break during the baseball playoffs and now it's back for the rest of the season. They started it in the summer to gauge interest in it and see if they should keep it for the season.

Please don't ask me why I know this.

Agree on both counts. If I was 21 I would be all over trying to win that girl's heart. She is beautiful!

The mom is very well cast to play the bitch.

I think she was in Xena cuz... you should know that. Sci-Fi stuff too. She's definitely hot. OC stands for Orange County, California.

I didn't see much of it, flipped past it last night. I hate the entire premise of this show. Anyway I wasn't so impressed with that girl. But to each is his own.

Bravo Fox!! They have created the next Beverly Hills 90210 and prove, much like the first 7 or so years of Friends on NBC, that it is possible to take a kid out of the "ghetto" and go through life without seeing a single brown face. That is of course unless the brown face is being a detriment to society.

Then again maybe those shows just aren't meant for blacks or hispanics.

Hey, the kid is from Chino so you know he's seen hispanics. Not to mention there's an episode where he goes back and meets up with an ex of his, who just happens to be a latina.

Well, the brown faces you'd expect to see in Orange County would be of the South Asian variation, no?
