According to this article the "bad blood" between Arsenal and Manu is only slightly older than the average Chelsea fan. It's an interesting read but I was wondering what the elder statesmen of the board recall about the clubs' earlier relations.

I will always loathe Man Utd, then Sp*rs (because I'm suppose to..lol) and maybe Chelsea next in the EPL. CFC is a good side and we are both in London, so being rivals is unavoidable.

The article is correct when it states the time "bad blood" started between the TEAMS. However, the agro between fans has been around for a very long time.

The Cockney Reds used to go in the Northbank and each time would get chased out and escorted along the pitch to their own end. In 1980 Arsenal fans gathered in the Northbank, chanted "United" and the police escorted several hundred gooners right into the middle of the ManUre fans. As the teams came out all hell broke loose.

Every time we play at Highbury it goes off. A few years ago a ManUre fan got his throat cut in a pub in Kings Cross several hours after the game.
