We'll need our strikers to actually make these kind of runs as well though.

Yup, as the old cliche goes, it takes two to tango, not make runs towards him too often and away from goal just so they can get the ball directly to feet rather than in space and involve themselves in the buildup play, will have to be a balance

I was really excited to see him in a midfield with Fede and VJ in front of them. Those two are of the select few players we have that are great at making off the ball runs. It's a shame we haven't seen the 3 connect yet.

Maybe we need to rehire Carlo’s son in law to run our medical team?

Worst part is his NT will demand him as if they're the ones who paid for his wages or his recovery and treatment.

    It's absolute bullshit

    Good news

Maybe the tide is beginning to turn for us here. Hazard, Martin, getting healthy. Just need Carvajal and we are whole

I read that Carvajal and Nacho both trained as well but aren’t quite ready yet.

    Good.

Now bury Asensio on the bench, start Odegaard while making Rodrygo his deputy.

Hopefully this will equate to more opportunities and better spacing.

Start him where? On the right wing? I thought he is more of a deeper playmaker, you know, like benzema...
I don't see him getting a lot of chances in 433.

Alvaro Benito, who is like the holy cow of tactical analysis guys for a lot of people on twitter, wrote an article saying "with a trio of Hazard, Benzema and Asensio, Real Madrid looks at the greatest teams eye to eye" i'm like what the hell is going on here? When was it established that Asensio is that guy?

I think he is a bit undervalued in what he does, but I agree, he's not someone I see playing or should be playing a pivotal role for this club beyond this year.

    Which make me feel ill.

The guy isn't the level for Madrid. It isn't anything personal but he hitting his mid-20s and no one (including himself) knows exactly what he plays.

All we know is his left foot can produce magic every other blue moon.

We really need Odegaard or Rodrygo to bench him. In a perfect world Zidane tries Hazard on tje right and keeps Vinicius on the left.

I really, really want to see Odegaard in the midfield. I know he's capable on the right, but he's better in that midfield role.

I agree here but right now we need Asensio no where near the pitch. If Zidane insists on the 433 that is how we can make it happen.
