I believe so, but anyone who understands this better than me, feel free take a look. Here's a link to the regulations of the competition and in page 15 you can find the rules regarding Player Eligibility: http://pt.uefa.com/MultimediaFiles/.../Regulations/02/09/89/04/2098904_DOWNLOAD.pdf
To be perfectly clear...we are nowhere close to Niger or Nigeria in football and don't claim to be. We will no more be the world champions in cricket either in a month once the next wc starts. So atleast let us keep our flag
Apparently its off season now in Norway so he hasn't played in a while, he will probably be fit for games in late February then.
Now it has, from the captain of Castilla: http://futbol.as.com/futbol/2015/01/25/mas_futbol/1422214799_416017.html
I don't understand what's wrong with AS and the hability of making titles. The article quotes Aguza saying “No es que me moleste… pero a mí también me gustaría estar ahí arriba y cobrar lo que dicen que va a cobrar..." (Not that I mind... but I would also like to be up there earning what it's said he's going to earn...) however the title says "Ya me gustaría cobrar lo que parece que cobrará Odegaard" (I would like to earn what it seems Odegaard will earn). Now they might be the same thing, but as I see it, the article expresses his wages as a speculation or rumour and the title expresses it as a fact. We all know Daily something started the €80,000 a week salary but that's no official value, apparently in Norway it's said to be from €40,000 to €50,000, now taking this as a rumour I'm ok with it, but as a fact?! Please... Hate misquotations and misunderstandings! Not that Aguza won't still be bothered when he knows what Odegaard will really earn, I'm pretty sure it will be higher than his wages...
Since when do players not want to make more money? When does anyone not want to make more money? There are people at my job that makes more than I do but there's no drama, why would there be in Castilla?
Do you not understand the concept of the better caliber of players you train with the better player you will become? Anyone who's played the game knows this. So him training with the first team is actually a good thing. In my opinion Real Madrid has big plans for this kid & they probably hoping he turns out to a big time player for the club, that's why he is training with the first team.
I think its good he is practicing with the 1st team. It gives Carlo a chance to see how he can hold up against the best players in the world.
Even more than that, maybe give the kid and his pops a reality check on where he is. I'm sure he's talented but training with the elite level athletes in the game should open his eyes a bit on where he is.
If the hype behind Odegaard is true, he'll have no problem starting for Castilla (now and next year in the second division). And by the way things are looking, he'll probably make his debut towards the end of the year. I think he edges out a 16 year old Bale.
Odegaard was seen training with Castilla instead of the first team. Special request by Zidane since he might debut againts Athletic B on February 8.
So he made his debut for Castilla today in a friendly against Beijing Guoan which ended 3 - 3. He has set up two goals.
Odegaard should be nowhere near the 1st team for the next couple of years. After 2 or even better 3 years we can start talking about him & men's football. Sorry but he is only 16 years old and he is not coming straight thought our academy. I know that in recent years the age criteria is going way too fast down, but i don't want him do became something like Bojan Krkic, who is still pretty young 24 years old, but everyone are talking about him like its 32 years old and done with big football. I think the rise of a star should be really slow and patient, with the right balance of academy & 1st team football. In recent years the hype about 15-19 years old massive potential stars is way above the actual number of those "stars" that eventually go and play in big clubs. The "accuracy" of those predicted stars is below 10%.
