I made sure Graham Hansen was nominated this year, the media I write for was one of the numerous media asked to submit a pre-list and we ended up making a point about her.
Full match here (not geo-restricted, at least not from US) I can't find the official match report, but I've only been awake for 15 mins: NRK: The national team manager hits back at the NRK expert: - We should have a chat TV2: Hegerberg goal after a few seconds: - Ada in a nutshell 0-1 Maanum 9' 0-2 Bergsvand 23' 0-3 Bergsvand 44' 0-4 Hegerberg 62' 0-5 Hoxhaj (OG) 74' * (* This from the score on NRK. In the actual story, it says Harviken scored the goal.) Hegerberg scored on her very first touch after being subbed in. Bergsvand grabbed two and set pieces ruled supreme over field play which is problematic, but we'll see how the home match goes.
Yep, but she did not shine with Norway and I think that made the difference as Bonmati won the Nations League, went to the Olympics and also scored key goals in the Champions League semi-final and final. Small margins.
Norway 9 - 0 Albania Maanum 18', 52', 62', 65' Naalsund 29' Hegerberg 44' Gaupset 75' Reiten 81' (p) Bøe Risa 90'+1 (p) NRK writeup here As mentioned in the article, CGH not playing was a bit of a downer, but understandable.
Expected win though maybe not by such a high margin, the highest in these playoffs. This was always going to be a tie that Norway would win comfortably over two legs, the bigger (and probably tougher) test will be in Round 2 and then obviously at the Euros. It would take something spectacular for Norway not to qualify.
She's been out for a while with an injury, IIRC. This season so far she was subbed in against Galatasaray and Dijon, was on the bench against Wolfsburg, subbed in against PSG, then on to the international break. I want to say one of her last games with Lyon was way back in March or April.
In recent years (since her comeback in 2022), she has also rarely played more than 3 games in a row for Norway due to injuries, similar to Caro Hansen.

A lot of top players have emerged from that club, but time has caught up with them. Brann is now the big club in Bergen. A-B's future is probably in the division below. Elsewhere, Vålerenga have injury problems. The two central midfielders Thea Bjelde and Stine Brekken are out for the rest of the season. We had some cracking goals in this round. Amalie Eikeland's thunderbolt away at Rosenborg and Mille Ivi Christensen's free-kick for LSK against Åsane are two of them. We might have a club from North of the Arctic circle for the first time in seven years in Toppserien. Matchdates yet to be announced.
Kinda sad for Rosenborg after such a positive start of the season, when I watched play Brann they won 2-0 only to lose 3-1 this time.

Very little drama this season. Things were settled quite early at both ends of the table. Vålerenga are worthy champions. What else can you say after 24 wins in 27 matches? I still believe it's been a season of stagnation in Toppserien. Vålerenga aren't better than peak Brann from a year or two ago, but they don't drop many unnecessary points along the way. Consistency pays off in a long league competition. Brann are the most disappointing team though. Coach Martin Ho hasn't been able to build further on last season's success after he came in. We'll see what a few new signings can make this winter. Rosenborg too have been underwhelming and snatched that vital third place with the injury-time goal from Sørum away at Røa, which means Rosenborg will play in a European competition in that new second tier tournament beginning in 2025/26. LSK would have finished third if it hadn't been for the four points deducted due to their financial mess. Vålerenga captain Janni Thomsen lifting the trophy on Saturday. Vålerenga's third Toppserien title. Winners last 10 seasons: 2015 - LSK Kvinner 2016 - LSK Kvinner 2017 - LSK Kvinner 2018 - LSK Kvinner 2019 - LSK Kvinner 2020 - Vålerenga 2021 - Sandviken (Brann) 2022 - Brann 2023 - Vålerenga 2024 - Vålerenga
Yes, thank you @Bauser I also want to clarify that even though we don't always reply to your long messages, it doesn't mean we don't care or don't read them
Pro/rel play-off matches - 1st leg Åsane 0 - 0 Bodø/Glimt Interesting result tonight which caters for an exciting return leg up North on Saturday. The Toppserien team always seems to survive in the play-offs. This could be the year of change.
