Beleaguered Tottenham head coach Martin Jol has been handed some good news as he prepares for this weekend's north London derby against Arsenal at White Hart Lane.

It's on Sky Sports now, as far as I know.

EDIT: Or not. How annoying.

Ha .. The only problem from their midfield could be Lennon, and he's not that good yet .. Clichy can keep him pretty quiet, I'm sure ..

Lennon looked good when he broke onto the scene, but hasn't really done much since. I'm hoping that trend continues.

I agree with Rick on the score. This is too much of an emotional match to have form play that big a factor. Jol needs a win to keep his job and Sputz need a win to get back on track. Given that they lick, they aren't going to suffer much from an international hang-over. This game represents their best chance to turn around their season. Not often is a team offered the perfect tonic for its ills as this.

That being said, they are facing a team with better cohesiveness than Arsenal sides of the past couple of seasons. Going back to the 1-1 draw at the Shite, it felt like Arsenal was going to need one individual to step up if a result was to be taken, this year if feels like it will happen from everyone working in synch.

I think we score early (Rick begins digging escape tunnel), Sputz draw level late due to a defensive lapse and Robinson actually has a good game and holds off a late flury of Arsenal shots to end on a 1-1 draw.

Agreed 1-1 is a good call Dean. Much better for our traveling brethern...they might make it out without incident.......

So who starts in goal for this one?

    Nice!!
I think this one is going to draw, 2-2. Very nervous about this one. As mentioned before, this could be the perfect time for Spurs to turn what's left of their season around.

I don't think we'll draw. As you all know, we drew our only away match already, and I can see the team pushing full force for an away win. Mostly to avoid that "they can't win when they aren't at home" label early in the season. I expect a flurry, but a 2-1 victory.

Chosen for what? Mediocrity? Constantly letting their supporters down?
Can't wait for this match, although right now it looks like I will be watching a stream :( unless I find somewhere with FSC that is open at 8:30am.

What are our injuries for this game? there's none in the first 11, right?

senderos is out for his red though.

this could be the first time in a year in which we had our complete 'true' first 11.

I think that Jens is "injured" again....unless you aren't counting him as part of the 1st 11.

Was thinking about Tigin's in Stamford. Haven't seen a match there since we beat ManU. The only problem is the time. 8:30 KO no? And will Tigin be open?
