    That's Perrin in a nutshell.

I seriously hope he is relieved as coach if the NT fails to live up to expectations yet again in the AC. Just don't think he is the right man for the job at all. Too many good players being left home for no justifiable reason (Zhang Xizhe, Huang Bowen, etc)

China will play a friendly against Oman before the Asian Cup starts. Kind of a warm-up match for both teams.

That was a terrible mistake by Zhang Linpeng. Hopefully he doesn't make any of those in the actual tournament

Good luck to China at the Asian Cup. Uzbekistan will be group winners, but you can pull a surprise against North Korea and Saudi Arabia.

North Korea should be a definite win for us, but Saudi Arabia is always tough for some reason. Hopefully, we make it out of the group stage this time around.

Saudi Arabia are on a downfall, they lost 4-1 to Oman recently. China's chance to benefit from their bad form.

Saudi Arabia lost to Bahrain 4-1 and Bahrain is worse than Oman. China beat Oman this morning 4-1 in a warm-up friendly. Maybe we can finally beat Saudi Arabia this time around.

Saudi Arabia played with many youngsters against Bahrain. That result doesn't count...

What happened to Deng Zuoxiang? perhaps it's just the impact of his goals against us and France that lingers in my mind but I always thought he was going to be China's next big thing... but never panned out it seems for whatever reason...

Deng hasn't been the same since he fractured bones in his leg in 2012. I don't think he's been called up ever since he was injured. He was real talent though. Sad to see.

Do you think Zhang Xizhe will succeed in Bundesliga for Wolfsburg? Is he considered a big talent in China?

Zhang Xizhe, Zhang Linpeng, and Wu Lei are considered China's best three players at the moment. All three have the ability to succeed in top European leagues.

I wonder why Zhang Xizhe is left out of the Asian Cup squad?

Our head coach Perrin said Zhang didn't fit his style of play…which is strange considering he's our best playmaker and set piece taker.

The CFA have changed their kit makers from Adidas to Nike. The deal with Nike will be until 2026. These are the new kits that China will be playing in during the Asian Cup.

Apparently Yu Hai started as the lone striker in the last friendly against Oman. Maybe Perrin is lurking in these forums, I've been saying this for years that Yu Hai seems better suited in a more central role rather than being out on the wings. Don't know how he performed though but he did grab a goal

I get all my jerseys from Taobao. The thing is, you can't buy things from it unless you deposit money into a sort of "bank account" for Taobao, which you can only do in China. I think they deliver internationally but probably at a high price. My father routinely visits China so I ask him to bring a couple jerseys back with him.

Saudi Arabia's most dangerous offensive threat Nasser Al-Shamrani is confirmed INJURED for the whole tournament. This should benefit China greatly in tomorrow's match.
