I can’t believe a player of his caliber was ever deemed untransferable and I don’t mean that as a dog at him. Dude could never really claim his spot in the starting 11 for years. That status should be for a very select few
He wasn't forced to stay at all. The only reason he is still here is because he refused to leave. I don't know what his motivation was, didn't like the offers he got, maybe he really believed he could fight for a spot, or he is just comfortable where he is with little pressure and earning whatever he is being on the bench. Not like he's worried about losing his place on the National team either.
I think the kind of offers the clubs stooges were linking him with to attract others just never made an offer. Bayern showed interest before signing Luis Diaz but by now it's a bit of a fact in the business that Brazilians don't like playing in Germany.
Asking 80 or 90 or 100 million for a guy who has 71 pages on Real Madrid Big Soccer for 7 years is insane ,this guy sucks, thanks for the big goals we will never forget but you suck
I don't like that I was proven right on Rodrygo. Here and with my friends I've been saying for so long that I want him gone. And the sad part is he'll need to see some minutes to get any value on him.
🚨 BREAKING: Saudi Arabia will come calling for Rodrygo. @diarioas pic.twitter.com/OmotqEbxmz— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) December 7, 2025
If true (and he is open to a move), then the club will be very, very happy from a financial point of view.
Rodrygo is soooo lucky carletto is the manager for Brazil can’t imagine being an important piece under another manager given his form and lack of playing time
Mastanuono, arguably Trent as well. Rodrygo gets a ton of heat but he wrote down his name in history while others only wrote it on a checkbook. I think he could play better but I just don't see him being a central issue that has a huge impact on our results.
Its just a shame that we will get a lot less money from him than we could have gotten. At the same time, its a historic mental shrinking what he pulled off in the last period. Yes the signs were there - he is not an assertive player, doesn't impose himself on a game, doesn't have any audacity in his game for a supposedly creative forward, but nobody could have expected this level of regression. So in retrospect hard to blame the club for not pulling the trigger earlier. I always loved how smooth Rodrygo is as a player, but what hes doing right now, to use 4x4s words, is literally phoning it in. I don't know if he feels betrayed by the club or just relieved to not be counted upon anymore, but either way he needs to go asap, together with his Brazilian buddy hopefully. Its crazy, if only Vinicius had a bit of Rodrygo in him and vice versa, we would have been twice as good. But no, one has to be a complete idiot with zero awareness, and the other just way too much into his head. Sad...
I mean the other 2 just arrived so it’s too early to judge them as far as return on investment but yeah Rodrygo has paid his investment and then some with his performances in the CL.
Longest streaks without a goal by an attacker in Real Madrid history: - Rafa Maranon: 1416 minutes in 29 games - Rodrygo Goes: 1387 minutes in 32 games
