I’d start Rodrygo next game as well.

Let’s see if he lights up a bit more on the left side.

He’s made 11 appearances this season, but he’s played just 300 minutes.

And out of him and Vini, he has the potential to click with Mbappe a lot more.

Probably pointing towards his footballing ability and not his citizenship imo.

Which is wild since Brazil hasn’t been necessarily producing world beaters

Would be better off with Gabriel from Arsenal.

Hes incredibly timid and his decision making which used to be his best attribute has plummeted. Hes far from Madrid starter quality right now and his head seems to be elsewhere.

And maybe he might continue to be dead, but maybe there’s a spark again and we see some chemistry with Mbappe on the field.

Our other options are way off, Gonzalo, Endrick, Mastantuono, Brahim, these guys are either frozen out or are simply worse than Rodrygo.

I don't think that Brahim or Masta are worse than Rodrygo. At worse they're giving you the same production which is nothing.

Rodrygo is living off of moments he had over two years ago.

I think he's a truly good player but what we're seeing here is when players overstay their welcome. The popular players that are always between will I stay or will I go. Feel like that's the way Higuain would decline with us if he'd stay longer than he should.

Comfort often decides above everything else unfortunately.

Rodrygo is damaging his career staying here. He should leave. He also believes he's way better then he actually is.

I think he'll leave in the summer. But not after tanking his value.

I think that applies to every single player on that level, you don't survive without enough confidence.

You're right. All the best athletes have crazy self confidence bordering on delusion.

Rodrygo can go elsewhere and be impactful, but I think the window for him to reach his full potential has closed. His entire time here he's been playing out of position and I think that matters. He never had a chance to play on the left for an extended period of time and build his confidence up.

Rodrygo chose to play on the left, despite knowing he's third in the pecking order for that position. He understands that the team needs help on the right—where he has already proven himself as a world-class attacker, playing a decisive role in some of our biggest victories. He may not win the Ballon d'Or playing on the right (and he certainly won’t by staying on the left), but he's become a decorated player at the biggest club in the world. That’s something to be proud of. On the left, he might not be going to World Cup next summer. If I were him, I’d move back to the right flank, lock down a starting spot for the World Cup, and position myself for a bigger transfer next season (if I am not happy on the right).

Edited: I like Franco, but he isn't ready. I like Brahim, but he is not a starting material. I am question mark about Rodrygo on the right, but when in form has won us many titles. I can live with him again. That is what I am trying to say,.

the most unique Real Madrid player i have ever seen.....he is literally a fake brazilian in terms of talent ,played 5/6 years on the right winger as almost undisputed starter and never learn to play that postion

making history as the worst statisticaly attacker in Real Madrid history .....and at the same time we will remember him as a key to our 2 CL wins with his goals against Chelsea,City both years

Alonso initially counted on Rodrygo to light a fire under Vini's ass but we now we know that Rodrygo himself is a zombie.

It's sad in some ways but quite simple: Rodrygo should not be counted on, ideally he should not get minutes ahead of Gonzalo or Mastantuono or even Endrick (for the next 3 weeks).

But then Xabi also needs to be a "politician", no coach is capable of opening a front with Vini, Rodrygo, Bellingham and Fede all at once especially with no backing from Flo and co.

If things stay the way the are, and it's tough to imagine otherwise, this dude will end up leaving on a free to a second rate EPL side or back to Brazil.

If not now, then when? He finds himself in the perfect position to start; all the other options at RW consistently provide nothing: Brahim, Fede and Rodrygo. He's essentially competing with Gonzalo who when we're desperately chasing a W, gets 3 mins.

This is a golden opportunity for Franco..

Also, Rodrygo is beyond done and it's not about LW, RW, CAM or GK. He is genuinely fried. It would take a miracle to revive him.

I can see how bad Rodrgyo has became, but I still have some hope. I meant some hope that Rodrygo can return to his former self on the right.

His former self was never that good, though.

We always wanted him to take a couple of steps up after his brace vs City but he never did. He'd score a wonder goal every now and then (e.g. vs Atletico) to get the propaganda train moving but then he'd get mummified for months, rinse and repeat.

Rodrygo and Camavinga, for me, are huge disappointments..

I know for a fact that he never had that status because a club he turned down has kind of gone public with the fact that he did (Bayern), saying he'd rather play in the Premier League or Italy if he leaves Madrid.
