Are we going to meet anywhere for the USA v Argentina game this Sunday? I get back in town Saturday Night.
Who is in charge of the Eads Brigade? Just out of curiosity. I think we should gather ourselves together and go to a local pub downtown or so and watch some of the Euro 2008. (Go Spain by the way). I know there are a few bars/pubs downtown that play soccer. I have been to one a long time ago called Flanneries I believe. Are there any suggestions? Who ever is in charge, if you see this, can you help get something together. Obviously we won't get much accomplished there rather than just meet each other and have a few beers and talk soccer
My suggestion is always Barrister's; there's been a pretty good crowd for the few times I've been in there for Euro matches. If anyone is interested, let me know.
Just a question, do I need to resign the list to join? Or am I still on it? I'd be up for meeting sunday but I live on the IL side o the river. Go Germany!!
If you signed up through the old GCSC site, we probably have your email somewhere, but it would be easier if you joined the new mailing list at www.eadsbrigade.org
NEXT MEETING: September 21, 2008 @ Barrister's in Clayton http://www.barristers-clayton.com/ EADS BRIGADE is holding its 1st public meeting on Sept. 21st @ Barrister's in Clayton We are going to watch the early morning EPL game of Manchester United vs. Chelsea Come out and join us to watch the game, meet some of the founding members, and learn about EADS BRIGADE St. Louis' First and Finest MLS Supporters' Group.
I've never been to Barristers before, is it like a bar/grill or just bar? I'm wondering if you have to be 21 to get in. Nothing says crazy soccer nut like getting up at 6:00 to drive to Clayton to watch it.... .
Yeah, it was cool, although I'm not sure I was fully awake that early on a Sunday. I'd never been there before, but it was a pretty nice place. I'll probably go back sometime. I had to take off quickly after the game, but I look forward to seeing you all again.
We are going to meet at 2pm this Sunday, Jan.11 at The Corner Pub & Grill in Valley Park, MO. Follow the link for directions. http://www.cornerpubandgrill.com/home.html We met here for the MLS All-Star game and the food, beer, and service are excellent.
