Who is in charge of the Eads Brigade? Just out of curiosity. I think we should gather ourselves together and go to a local pub downtown or so and watch some of the Euro 2008. (Go Spain by the way).

I know there are a few bars/pubs downtown that play soccer. I have been to one a long time ago called Flanneries I believe. Are there any suggestions? Who ever is in charge, if you see this, can you help get something together. Obviously we won't get much accomplished there rather than just meet each other and have a few beers and talk soccer

The Dubliner is quite nice. It's on Washington.

My suggestion is always Barrister's; there's been a pretty good crowd for the few times I've been in there for Euro matches. If anyone is interested, let me know.

Just a question, do I need to resign the list to join? Or am I still on it?

I'd be up for meeting sunday but I live on the IL side o the river.

    Go Germany!!

If you signed up through the old GCSC site, we probably have your email somewhere, but it would be easier if you joined the new mailing list at www.eadsbrigade.org

I've never been to Barristers before, is it like a bar/grill or just bar? I'm wondering if you have to be 21 to get in. Nothing says crazy soccer nut like getting up at 6:00 to drive to Clayton to watch it.... :D.

Yeah, it was cool, although I'm not sure I was fully awake that early on a Sunday. I'd never been there before, but it was a pretty nice place. I'll probably go back sometime.

I had to take off quickly after the game, but I look forward to seeing you all again.

    MLS First Kick Watch Party

    Thu Mar 19 8pm – 11pm

Amsterdam Tavern, 3175 Morganford, St. Louis, MO

Eads Brigade is hosting a watch party for the first game of the 2009 MLS season featuring the expansion Seattle Sounders FC vs. Red Bull New York.

We have not held an event at Amsterdam yet but it is the newest Soccer Pub in St. Louis. http://www.amsterdamtavern.com/

As far as I know, they are not serving food yet, so eat before you come, unless you want to get drunk. They do have an excellent beer list. http://www.amsterdamtavern.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=48&Itemid=55

So come join us to watch the game and meet other Eads Brigade members.

If nothing else, we can commesurate about the 2011 expansion mess :)

    Cheers,
    Matt

I will most probably be there. I've been to Amsterdam Tavern 4 times now, and it's a great place to watch a match.
I look forward to finally meeting you guys!
