If we lose the next home match who's up for tunnel taunting when teh match is over?

Me and Zak did it last time. It was good fun. And that was just us two. Imagine if it was 10 or 20 people. Maybe even 30?

I want a full-out Anti-Andrulis campaign from the beginning of the match, not just at the end.

You know that "clock chime" chant you hear at Portsmouth -- I think they say "Play up Pompey", right? And I think I've heard the same tune at other matches. "Sack Andrulis" would fit right in there, no problem with syllables or meter, it would be perfect. Just repeated, over and over and over and...

Frankly, I think that should the club show signs of another poor performance, and/or fall behind early, 137 should walk out en masse.

I think the message to be sent, as I think Zak has said on here before, is that we support the team 'till the end, but not this coach. Walking out would not display that message, but rather it would say that we, the most loyal fans, have given up on the club. I don't think anyone wants to say or see that.

Just make a big "Sack Andrulis" sign and have the supporters section hold it up....

.....and throw sharp heavy objects at him should the Crew lose ( a few hundred beer bottles should do....

Bad memories of earlier today coming back...

Eggy, you should come to Elland Road next season.

Sorry, captain -- I knew it had been a bad day for you.

For Gooner fans, on the other hand...!

should be interesting next season no doubt.

Another alternative is instead of walking out have 137 go behind the bench and start hurling abuse.

Whatever it takes because this can't go on much longer.

Haven't you ever heard the phrase loose lips sink ships? Listen there isn't going to be a protest, not yet anyway, and my preference would be to just go, sit in 137, and not even mention the word Adrulis. The players, and staff know how we feel, at this point hurling excessive abuse would just be redundant.

I'm not trying to mark out here, but as you get a chance to talk more and more to this team, it is abundantly clear that the last thing they need is a fan revolt. While it is true that the players do shoulder some of the responsibility for the lack of goals and winning, there is a serious lack of confidence going on here. In the interest of building that confidence back up, I think we should think about alternatives to "Sack Andrulis" for 90 minutes. He's on borrowed time as it is, the players are not.

eggy, i''m all for verbal tunnel abuse. what concerns me is certain players: elliot, marshall, cunny, hejduk, deserve better. as i see it, they are the only players who should be starting for this team.

i am also thinking of purchasing a bulk package of brown paper lunch sacks, and writing "Andrulis" on one side and "smith" on the other and litter them over the railing of the tunnel.

I could not disagree more. I wanted to email everyone personally, but this may be far more effective.

Andrulis is gone, he's on borrowed time, we know it, Jim Smith knows it, Dwight Burgess knows it, Craig Merz knows it, and you, the supporter should know it. At the end of the day, what good does it do supporters to go and chant "sack andrulis" for 90 minutes? In my opinion very little. It's time for us to employ a tactic we don't often take, and one quite frankly I'm sure no one expects us to take, the high road. At this moment in time, the best tactic to employ is to support each member of Columbus Crew on a personal basis. It can only help to build confidence amongst our players that we still believe that they can do a job.

For instance, does anyone here actually believe that Kyle Martino is a lost cause? I would hope not, but he is probably having confidence problems because of this current sticky patch he's going through. Does anyone actually believe that Simon Elliott might not give us a significant advantage at Dmid? He's probably just having problems settling in due to our shaky management. I've only picked two here, but at the end of the day the same could be said for most of our team. Believe me, this team right now is in a dire state of affairs, and I believe that us as fans can do something that this coaching staff just can't seem to provide, positive input, and positive energy.

I just want the point to be very clear, despite what you hear, it's the company line. Use your own common sense, Andrulis is as good as gone. When he leaves what will you be left with, paper bags or the support of your players?

I'd like to believe Andrulis is as good as gone but until I see it I believe nothing.

Each day that passes more damage is done.

If they won't fire him maybe he can be forced to quit?

    mel has it right.

Look, they were stupid. With a capital S.

In case anybody has forgotten, The Druler's contract expired last November. He had a club option for 2004 which they could have declined without it costing them a dime.

For some as yet unexplainable reason, they refused to get out while it was easy. Instead they let him retool the team and run them through Pre Season and on into the worst start in team history.

And NOW they have a problem. NOW in addition to costing a lot of money to fire the guy midseason, they will also have to admit that THEY WERE STUPID. That while evrybody connected with soccer in America thought the guy was a loser and needed to begone, THEY felt that he was worth keeping around.

Everyone thought they were nuts. Everyone was right.

So NOW what has to happen is that Jim Smith has to hitch up his pants, call in the press and say "I messed up. I was wrong. I blew it. I did a stupid thing."

And the boy genius, whose career trajectory was on the rise 18 months ago all of a sudden looks like a weak, gutless, ineffectual idiot. Columbus was supposed to be his big stepping stone to the big time. NFL. NASCAR. SOmething good, like Rootes got.

Well here's news, Jimbo: you aren't fit to lick out Jamie Rootes' jockstrap. I was never a Rootes fan, but he was a dynamic guy with a personality who understood what he was about, and people loved him around here.

You, on the other hand, are a weak, bootlicking corporate wannabe.

So what we're paying for now is Jim Smith's ego.

The insult though is that we are actually expected to believe that in a few weeks time this team will suddenly play great, knock off a bunch of wins, roar into the playoffs and win the Cup.

And THAT is the worst insult of all: that he thinks we're idiots.

This is OUR team, Jimmy. It was ours before your uselss ass showed up and it will be ours long after you and your pet monkey are nothing but a horrible memory we drink to forget.

In the end, you guys are just passing though. The only problem is that your time is up and you haven't figured it out yet.

PS: As for The Druler© during intros, I wouldn't even bother to boo. Some people will, and that's up to them. To me, utter silence would say much more.

It's been a long time since I've posted, but this topic brings me to speak. Actually, Zak spoke it, I just want to say I agree with it. This is the time when we show what we fans are made of. Do we support our guys (by which I mean the players, not the coach or GM), or are we people who cut and run at the first sign of adversity. I say hell no! I'll probably be there on Sat. against Dallas and my friends and I fully intend to cheer for the Crew. I hope everyone else follows Zak's lead and does the same.

I intend to cheer...just like every game I fully intend to cheer. However I think we have little to cheer about anymore. You can still support the team and b!tch about the coach. I don't think yelling down the tunnel really helps, but if Smith comes out of hiding for any reason to present a plaque to someone or something he should be greeted with a "Sack Andrulis" cheer so that he gets the message.

We should support our team, sing even when we suck and just have fun with it. Some of you guys are going to lose hair over the fact that Andrulis is still here. I want him gone just like everyone else. I agree with Zak,that Andrulis is good as gone. Remember the days we all sang Greg Andrulis black and yellow army. So he's not done all that well recently, but suck it up and shut up. I just think that its only 3 games in and the L.A. game we actually looked decent. We had some good headers go Hartmans way and Cunningham looked better then he has in the past. Give the guys credit where credit is due and just cheer for our team.

I hate to say it, but a lot of times there are some, including myself, sound like a bunch of frontrunners at times. Lose the frustration.

    GO CREW!
