its nice to see that some of our players are turning into role models. You used to see people wanting to be the next Joe Maontana or Jerry Rice. Well now we have a kid who wants to be the next DaMarcus Beasly. That gives me a pretty good feeling about soccer.
The weeklong national U-15 training camp in San Diego earlier this month earned Jordan an invitation to the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. That means two years of intense schooling and training with some of the country's top instructors, starting in September. Well, I guess we know the first name for the next cylce of residency. Jordan was one of 22 players to receive an invitation. "The coaches said I'd be playing with this group for a long time," he said. I'm assuming that only 22 players are invited to Bradenton, as opposed to 30, because the 87s (and one 89) will stay in residency, giving the US a defacto U18 residency camp. Jordan is currently training with the new Fort Wayne Fever, which will play its second home match tonight. Ya gotta love a kid so young being with a PDL team, though a quick look at the Fever's stats shows he hasn't played for them.
Some insights about this Imperial academy ... Does somebody have some insight about the academy? what it in to it?, what kind of training? does it include psicologic motivational training??.....come on guys share some info!!!
