After reading the article above, does anyone feel the result will be obvious, or will this be a closely contested match-up? Iran has obvious talent, but perhaps people are undermining that of the "All Whites"? Discuss.

New Zealand will struggle in Iran. I dont think any team would want to go there, but they might sneak a win on home soil.

NZ lost to estonia 3-2 a few days ago, not a great result, both teams were missing key players, and by the sounds of it the score could of been 5-4 or something, pretty losse defending aganist a team like estonia, who play pretty defensive. They play Poland soon, they could hammered them on home soil, with the team they have got at the moment. duncan oughton and simon elliott are involved in the mls and ryan nelson is injured, and so are other european based players, and they didnt pick any players from NZ because they are just starting the australian season.

Not necessarily so... Vaughan Coveny, of South Melbourne, for one, was one of the NSL-based players on that tour.

And FWIW, Poland beat NZ 2-0 in that friendly.

    Cheers,
