Here is why I believe FOX has greater success. There is very little to watch on TV that doesn't offend conservatives. All the light night talk show are GOP bashing ALL THE TIME. That didn't happen before. A lot of the sitcoms probably don't agree with their life style, like Modern Family. So what do they have left? To watch TV's opinion masters at night and listen to the people telling them, "Pay attention...your country is being stolen from you by [insert current threat here]."
I haven't had cable since 2010, mainly because I was a 23 year old getting started in his career, i.e. broke. Closest I have right now is a streaming service, but it's a streaming service catered to sports, with some mainstream cable news (MSNBC, Fox, and the like). One of the reasons I have a streaming service is that it's much easier to cancel, I don't get the runaround like I would with a cable provider. Plus, I was able to use my phone to stream said service at an AirBNB I stayed at last year. And the cost is more reasonable than what a cable provider is. But cable news, it's just, subpar. I don't care for MSNBC (Which is more center left than leftwing despite claims to the contrary*), I'm not watching Fox, my streaming service doesn't have CNN and I never watched it much anyway, And the prime time shows aren't news coverage based shows, they're opinion shows! Maddow, Carlson, and the like. And on top of that, every little development is breaking news. It's like that Onion NSFW video about bullshit happening somewhere. I prefer to read my news anyway. I've used my Twitter as a newshub, I have subscriptions to NY Times, WaPo, WSJ, and plan on adding the Economist and the New Yorker along with both the Detroit Free Press and Detroit News. Least with print media (Digital and paper) it's a tad sober and isn't constantly parading every single development like it's life changing. *: MSNBC does have left leaning views, but it has long time morning show hosted by a former Republican congressman and plenty of Reagan Republicans on.
The ads often offend conservatives, too. Any pitch aimed at a younger crowd is urban/diverse. The scene is multi-racial party on a city rooftop, not a gathering at the county fair. (In fact, now that I think of it, the car ad I saw yesterday called out and mocked county fairs.)
@superdave can you post that link? You have it in your bookmarks.. This has real “Straight man goes to gay bar just because he likes the drinks, he swears” energy https://t.co/QtfnFTUbfv— Jon Bershad (@JonBershad) September 6, 2022

Wonder why they don't pitch a multi-racial group at the county fair? I mean, there was a time when that wasn't rare or anything, at least not where I grew up. Nothing wrong with country fairs. Nothing wrong with county fairs that are all White, if no Black folks live in the county.. lol There IS something wrong with a culture that thinks county fairs are for White people only. I get that racism created the environment where rural, outdoorsy stuff is now practiced mainly by the one race and largely mocked by the other.
I don't remember where I heard it, probably somewhere in these threads years ago, but it was something along the lines of Fox News loved to rail against the type of shows that aired on Fox.
1. In the context of the death of Queen Elizabeth. The monarchy gave away some power to avoid revolution. Not exactly “paved”. 2. Don’t they yearn for a MAGA king? And off course: it gets better pic.twitter.com/daHh1jwrQD— Andrew Lawrence (@ndrew_lawrence) September 9, 2022
Nice of seánín to list all of TFG's crimes for us. I’m not sure listing all these investigations helps pic.twitter.com/YqbtMvUCYL— Acyn (@Acyn) September 13, 2022
Yeah, I think you might be slightly wrong on the issue... Tucker Carlson's top Russia-Ukraine war expert Douglas MacGregor, on Friday night: "This entire war may be over" soon, "right now things are going very, very badly" for the Ukrainians and they're "desperate," "they're losing once again just south of Kharkiv." pic.twitter.com/BBwCL6QSpB— Matthew Gertz (@MattGertz) September 12, 2022
Hey, I just read his post, I didn't respond to him. Unless of course you're saying rslfanboy is a troll??????
C'mon - he's at least very funny and charming. He's like the cool funny guy at the yacht club who you love to hate but also secretly admire because he gets all the girls.
