Given their love for plagiarism, Trump sneakers could adopt the motto "Just don't do it!"

I’m sure the writer is dead and it’s not like Sammy Davis Jr is going to call Trump to complain about the song being used.

Marvin Gaye. The writing is usually credited to Holland-Dozier-Holland, but I have seen a source claiming it for Mickey Stevenson. It sure sounds like H-D-H though...

Stevenson is still alive I think.

This is definitely the funniest argument by Republicans. Trump is far too old to be required to sit in a courtroom all day, but is totally healthy enough to be POTUS.. A job that is well known for being easy on the people holding the office. LOL

The thing is, it’s probably all true, that the trial is really hard for him, much harder than the presidency. But Fox can’t say he was the laziest president in 100 years. That’s what they need us to send to the memory hole, the over the top encomiums they delivered while he was president.

Well, he complained about being "too cold" in the courtroom. Thing is, normal people have experienced that, and can deal with it. It's part of life. But you can bet your ass that this snowflake has someone at his beck and call, ready to jump to make sure the room temperature is Goldilocks-level perfect for his royal highness.

He's probably never had someone tell him "no" in 65 years...

Merchan actually looked into how cold it was and was told it could either be too cold, or too hot, no in between.

I'm surprised it didn't happen earlier.. I'm also not sure Hunter wants to open himself up to discovery on this. That's not going to say the stuff Fox has said about him and his father is true, but Hunter has done some things that he may not want revealed publicly.

I have to think that Hunter is thinking Fox will just settle ASAP to get him to go away, but will admit no fault.

I think he’ll settle for a couple hundred million but the timing seems terrible. Maybe he is trying to get paid before Fox becomes North Korea News officially?

Honestly? A lot of Hunter Biden's dirty laundry has kind of already gotten out. I don't know what he's risking at this point.

As much as I love seeing Fox "News" get theirs, I don't know if this is wise from a political standpoint. Despicable as it might be at times, when your dad is the President of the United States, you're probably going to catch some shit at some point. You're going to be scrutinized from all angles. Comes with the territory. I'm sure there is a line where they can actually go too far, but I don't know if it's a good look for the son of a President(ial candidate) to give the appearance of trying to silence the press for bad coverage.

Of course, Trump has been calling the press "the enemy of the people," "fake news," and threatening to pull licenses of networks he doesn't like, so maybe the bar has been lowered far enough that those concerns are outdated.

This is a 100% true statement. LOL. The only thing I could think of is that Hunter would have to hand over his emails and could no longer claim that the hacked version on his laptop was false.

Not really? A politician's family are not public officials and, therefore, should be protected under defamation laws and we don't really want to get into a world where a politician's family can be slandered for political gain. Going after Joe Biden's actions around Ukraine is technically okay as it is an attack on Joe, but where they crossed the line is where they accused Hunter of committing crimes (taking bribes, using his position to influence is father, etc, etc).

I think it would be helpful if the bar were risen for the news organizations. ;)

Good for him. Not a lawyer, but he seems to have a good case. Would be funny if Hunter get some big check from Fox.

Lawyers for Hunter Biden plan to sue Fox News “imminently,” according to a letter sent to the network and obtained by NBC News.

The letter cites the network’s alleged “conspiracy and subsequent actions to defame Mr. Biden and paint him in a false light, the unlicensed commercial exploitation of his image, name, and likeness, and the unlawful publication of hacked intimate images of him.”

We have had murder and attempted murder against members of the Muslim community in the last half year, but sure, there are absolutely no indications of rising Islamophobia.
