Problem is, there's people who are not of the Fox bent that also think media has a left wing bias. There's a lack of serious media literacy in general.

I've told this before, but several years ago, a colleague that I knew outside of work once remarked to me that the Washington Post was "The Breitbart of the left." I asked him what made him arrive to that and he mentioned seeing articles about stopping Trump. This colleague is my age (35), some college education but never finished, and was a fan of Bernie but not rabid about it. I did of course mention that he was reading opinion articles and he was speechless.

Then of course, there's also people who think MSNBC is the left wing equivalent of Fox when it's not.

Out of context. I was watching CNN as this dropped. They pointed out the differences but also sadly pointed out what they saw as the inevitable political fallout. Not like Fox at all.

 

I was going to post the same thing.

That’s sad from Froomkin. Whenever some of his writing crosses my radar, I usually enjoy it and learn from it. Now maybe he’s one of the journos I shouldn’t trust.
