I loaded the app. Pain in the ass. And I don't see my ticket to the February 22 season-ticketholder event loaded there. Supposedly, you cannot get in with pdf printed tickets but must use your idiot phone instead. I may have to simply crash the party and await my police escort. I asked for more paper in my survey response at the end of last season, and we get this nonsense instead.
I don't see any way to connect the app to the Ticketmaster account that has the actual tickets. I did not realize we'd be required to use phone tix -- that is especially annoying given the state of the wifi at the stadium. And will thousands of people accessing the app crash it? That's what has happened to me at other venues.
If you happen to have an iPhone go to your ticket in the new app and click the button 'Add to Apple Wallet'. Once the ticket is in your wallet it can be accessed even when offline. In fact, when you approach the stadium the ticket will appear in your notifications and gives you quick access to the ticket. You can also do this with your season ticket holder discount 'ticket'. I suspect it will come in handy to get the STH discount for the food trucks. I don't know how it works on an Android phone but I'd be shocked if they don't have something similar.
We are an Android shop. What I've done in the past is take screenshots of the tickets and then bring up the pictures. I try to be environmentally aware and am judicious about paper use (we double-side print our tickets!) but really FO? We can't spare a few pieces of paper a month? While you're at it, how about not selling beer in those plastic cups that are going to sit in landfill forever?
From an email I received yesterday (2/12): * * * * * Season Kickoff Event Join us at Welcome to 2020, an exclusive event just for Season Ticket Holders on February 22 from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. It will feature a player panel, chances to win prizes and free personalization for the first 20 fans that purchase a jersey. Sign up and we will add your mobile ticket to your Account Manager (PDFs will not work at this event). [Emphasis added] I signed up, but my mobile ticket was not added to my Account Manager (at least not as visible in my app on my phone.)
Slightly off topic but I am trying to wrap my head around the ticket swap amenity. It seems to say that I can skip using tickets for a game 72 hours before and exchange for a future game. If I am season ticket holder then I already have tickets to the future game so now I will have even more?
I agree it's not super useful, but I can see two scenarios: 1. accumulate tickets for one game so you can invite friends without having to buy more tickets. 2. gives you a second chance to sell your tickets - e.g. if you can't make it to a game and you aren't able to sell the tickets you can roll them forward and try to sell them again at a later date. Of course not having season tickets in the first place allows you to be even more flexible.
If you want paper tickets, just go to the box office on game day and ask for them. All you need is a picture ID. The box office staff is friendly and accommodating when the workers provide this free service.
And if there is any line at the box office the free part isn't that attractive to me. And if I can't make it to a game I find it more convenient to give someone my physical tickets.
I think they can print your entire season's tickets at one visit to the box office unless you have a Terrace Pass. A savvy, flexible ticket rep can also do it for free. The $15 charge covers the delivery of your paper tickets.
I have already had my entire set of 2020 season tickets printed for me. And I happily paid the $15 fee, since the process subsumed some of my (now former) ticket rep's time. However --- and here's the rub: I was unable to have printed for me my game-by-game parking passes included with my club seats (due to whatever the snafu the FO is dealing with), and going to Will Call to pick them up on the Saturday morning of Opening Day won't work -- because where do I park in the interim? Also, I am unable to print my admission ticket to the season ticket holder preseason celebration on February 22, because for some unexplained reason this will not be allowed. You're right, everyone's friendly, so I probably won't be hauled away in a paddy wagon when I arrive unable to adequately manipulate my iPhone, but it raises my blood pressure simply considering the prospect of arriving under such circumstances, especially if I'm bringing a guest sans tickets.
Also, I so value the printed tickets that my Ultras ticket (in addition to my pair of Club seats) is a full-price ticket, not the electronic-only, non-transferable, deeply discounted standing pass that many supporters purchase. I'm sure I'm absorbing a $100-plus surcharge for the privilege of having this extra printed standing "seat." And I don't read f*cking Kindles.
At some point last year, saving to the Google Wallet stopped and I did the same thing. Somewhat off topic, I had changed my pw for my account on the account manager on the website, but when adding my tickets to the app, the old pw remains. lol no surprise there.
I finally got everything working but it took a few iterations and I'm still not confident that the new app and Ticketmaster are on speaking terms. Here we are, heart of Silicon Valley, with so many models of easy-to-use apps around us, yet somehow ours always feel a little bit downmarket, like the FO found a programmer on Upwork who would do it for $50, testing not included.
We have that option in Reno and have for the last couple of years. Option one is the way most do it here. Not sure if anyone has tried option 2 but sounds viable.
I've spent an hour and couldn't get this working right on LG phone. Very confusing. I think I have my season tickets on it but certainly don't have any Feb 22 event on it. Extremely aggravated and told my rep and the app feedback.
I've used my phone the last few years and it works fine... I do save the tickets to my phone (Android), usually on game day, before I get to the game. I can't see my VIP parking tickets yet, online or in the app. I can see my game day tickets.
It does. When I open up a ticket in the Earthquakes app, it shows a button for saving it in Google Pay, which provides offline storage.
