    Prefer Madrid to Liverpool.

The only time I might root for Pool is against ShInter.

That other thread was getting a bit long in the tooth, I guess we're supposed to start a new thread after x amount of posts. So here it is. This is where you can talk about any other club you want, from Serie A to La Liga, MLS, A-League and beyond.

I'll most some of the most recent posts from the other thread over to there to keep the discussion going...

Ajax go into Pot 1 because Madrid won yesterday. Juventus are in Pot 2 so it's possible they end up in the same group. Be afraid, be really afraid. You don't want to draw Ajax!!!;)

I don't want to draw Ajax because they are my second favorite team.

Unfortunately, Chiellini went out with a sputter at Juventus and the Azzuri. They were smashed by Argentina.

I'm sure it will be the last of Berna, Belotti, Chiellini, Bonucci, and Insigne. Maybe even Jorginho.

Just saw the Serie C playoff between Palermo & Padova on Rai.

Palerrmo had a pk in the first half and Padova had their captain Ronaldo (Pompeu da Silva) red carded in the second.

Padova ended the match 2ith 9 men with another red card in the 90th minute.

GK, Antonio Donnarumma had a good save for Padova but the Rosaneri won and are now in Serie B.

The game was played in front of 34,000 fans at the Stadio Renzo Barbera. It was their 4th consecutive sellout.

The stadium went crazy at game’s end!

Nice to see Palermo and manager Silvio Baldini back in the higher leagues after 3 years!

He should be on fire at the LA Galaxy.

Based off today, the "new" Azzurri need a lot of help.

I was of the opinion that a 5-2 loss to Germany was best to have been forgotten and never discussed again.

As for the on fire comment re chiellini, the state is a burning cinder about to happen

The El Traffico game LAFC vs the LA Galaxy was fun to watch but we did not get the promised debut of either Gareth Bale or Giorgio Chiellini.

The Galaxy kept the game interesting and mostly looked like the better team until they made their subs.

Vela, Cifuentes, Arango, and Opoku proved to be too much for Galaxy in the end.

The commentators mentioned LAFC are still going after a designated player (DP) or a #9 and that it might be a mistake as Arango is already playing like a DP.

Not sure why Chiellini didn’t play but saw him celebrating on the bench. They said he could have gotten a red card for being over jubilant.

Although teams in MLS with stars don't always equal success on the field, I'm thinking when those guys start playing and depending on the DP they sign, on paper anyway, LAFC will be tough to beat.

I don’t care for either LA team but if I had to choose, I’ll take LAFC.

Glad they beat them Gals!

I enjoyed the match as well. Like you, I was hoping he would get in the match. Should have went full Allegri and brought Chiellini on for the back 5 to close up shop. Looks like they didn’t need it in the end.

    The final score is:

    [IMG] 2 - 2 [IMG]

The Quakes blew a chance to get a much needed win!

Nice comeback goal and exchange between Jackson Yueill to Jack Skahan but still a pretty lousy game.

I can't get excited about this team as it's always one step forward and two or three back.

    Lacklust is the word.

Still among the worst teams in the league and conference.

They try really hard but I don't see many signs of improvement.

    Also, Toronto FC sucks!

Lorenzo Insigne still isn't playing and I knew Domenico Criscito wouldn't do anything.

I never thought he was a great or even good player, only average.

I didn't follow him at FC Zenit Saint Petersburg but I did on the national team where he mostly played in friendly games. I also saw him the last few years at Genoa.

Had he stayed in Italy, he probably will have been captain at Genoa but in Serie B as they were just relegated.

He chose the money in going to Canada so it was smart of him but I doubt he will set anything on fire.

He is turning 36 by the start of next MLS season so he is probably done.

Dybala has reportedly accepted Roma's offer.
