The thing with Flores is that at the time, we were used to more success bringing in key players. So I think that was more disappointing.

But Enow was relatively worse than expectations just as a player. I mean wow - what scout saw him play and thought "yea, let's get him!"

It's a standard clause. The "relegation clause". This would be the MLS equivalent.

This doesn't make any sense at all. If a team gets relegated, they lose income and have to shed salaries. That's why the relegation clause exists. If an MLS team fails to make the playoffs, they don't lose any money whatsoever. A relegation clause without, you know, relegation just further punishes teams that are already down

No tease, Sorgut fired the whole scouting staff at season's end. I'm not sure if he has hired any replacements.

It is an escape hatch for a player. In the case where the team is shambolic and your acquisition is a Hail Mary patch job if it doesn't work you have an out. Very player friendly and a good agent will get something like that for short term deals.

Badji and Schnegg are officially waived.

We'll find out Wednesday if anyone claims them.

Goff is reporting that Brooks Lennon is on trial with DC United.

That's quite the "fall" for someone who made $740,000 last year and had 171 appearances for Atlanta while being only 28, but I think I'd be happy if the team signed him.

Atlanta is having a clear out. I think they are eyeing some large signings.

I mean, if DC had managed to win on Decision Day last year, Atlanta would have won the spoon.

I still remember Klich telling me that they expected great things out of that squad last year when he was traded there and it was a total bust.

Note that Charlotte's announcement suggests that Schnegg's full contract was picked up and that he is an international contrary to what some folks have said.

Their announcement lists him as a domestic player, too. It's a DC United like statement, but domestic is the correct one.

I liked Schnegg a lot and it seeeeeeeeems like he would have fit in with a run-until-you-puke high-press system - I was not expecting him to have been waived - happy for him that he was picked up by a decent team.

I saw a couple tweets when I was searching for news for him last night that had him listed in the top 10 in MLS in miles run. He was asked to do *a lot* for 2025 DC United. Maybe too much.

    Way too much.

I was at the Orlando away match and you could’ve given him Usain Bolt’s speed and Kipchoge’s endurance and the gameplan still wouldn’t have worked for him.

Yup I noted some defensive weakness for sure but he was one of the few players on the roster who knew how to pass/cross the ball effectively.

Can anyone point me to the full list of waiver selections? Struggling to find it so far.

Are you looking for who's been waived and who has been claimed, or waiver order, or something else?

Trying to see who’s been claimed beyond Schnegg.
