Don’t know about you guys, but this is a huge L for Florentino IMHO.

We need to lower our expectations for the season- I, for one, won’t be blaming Carlo for anything anymore. He just hasn’t been given enough personnel to work with.

 

I have a feeling that RM management are willing to take or sacrifice a trophy-less season, and for that reason aren’t strengthening the squad. They want specific Fichajes (like Mbappe, investing in young potential talents, or really good opportunities) and are prioritising the economic situation of the club above everything (we saw Flo speaking about this issue a lot in his interview with Pederol, and about the importance of the Super league to “save football” due to the pandemic and bad economy)

Are Alaba and Medby out for the season? If not, have Camavinga and Nacho deputise in that position until they return. Simples.

That's just absurd. The idea that the club can never sign a player unless they are a once in a generation type of player. You would be lucky to field a starting eleven with that narrow of a framework. It also belies the signing of players like Endrick, Camavinga, Rodrygo, etc.

It's funny because Barca, who are already broke and swimming in debt, are taking on a new stadium project that will cost way over a billion euros at the height of global inflation.

By day one of the Super League Barca will have blown all of their "advance" and be asking for more money to buy ink for printing tickets and receipts.

Mendy out for 10 weeks minimum.
Nacho is 33, can’t be depended on when the club is 5 points behind top place.

Cama openly states he’s more fit to play in midfield (as he should) but being trained at LB these days isn’t a good sign from future PoV.

There’s literally no logical reasoning anybody can come up with for acting as if winter transfer window doesn’t exist.

You put Porro alongside Theo, Davies, Hakimi yet not even rogue PL clubs have spent big on him and let's see in couple of years whether he's good enough or joins Danilo, Odriozola, Reguilon league.

Btw Theo himself admitted he flopped at RM and Real Sociedad on loan because he was immature and didn't take football seriously. He changed his lifestyle because Maldini showed him the mirror and basically told him his career will be in ruins if he continues to mess around.

 

I meant suggesting names of Hakimi and Hernandez on this board now (realizing they aren't likely to come back) and not blaming the administration for selling them or the likes of Ødegaard.

 

Conjecture is suggesting Pep/City wouldn't have loaned/sold us Cancelo when Flo wasn't even interested in entering the winter market let alone negotiate or seriously pursue an option.

Pep seemingly hates Cancelo and Cancelo can't stand the bald pr!ck. He was excess baggage to them and was reportedly offered to us and Barcelona – the Catalans can't make moves because of their books but what is our excuse for idleness?

Mendes is close with Bayern and Barca. We don't deal with him in the summer let alone in winter. City were glad to send him to Bayern with 6 MP loan fee and 70 M buy option. What we should have done is sign Fran for 5 ME, loan out Odri and promote Tobias.
