After making the mistake of going to Tower today, I came back with 3 new albums....so it goes. Anyways, just list anything you've picked up recently and maybe leave a description/reccomendation.... Today I bought: RJD2 - Dead Ringer So far a really nice album...I'm enjoying it. Somwhat similiar in feel to DJ Shadow..but they definitly have their own styles between them. Highly reccomended The Vines - Highly Evolved Haven't really heard any of the album yet..can't judge it The Flaming Lips - Yohimi Battles the Pink Robots Well, after hearing about 3-4 songs, I'm digging this....kind of psychadelic/pop...Pretty atmospheric stuff I guess. Anyways, so far so good
Can the weakerthans really be classified as emo? I don't think I'd put them it that group. I'm not saying this cause I am an anti-emo guy at all. Some Get up Kids and some Promise Ring hits me right every once in a while. But The Weakerthans are in a totally different set if you ask me. The lyricist in a Punk planet interview gave more props to Dylan than anyother songwriter. Besides that he used to be in Propagandi, I don't think you can go emo after being there.
