Nani played a central role in his first game...it was interesting to see.

P.S: I was about to start a Nani thread too!

With queiroz, fergie and ronaldo on his side....Nani has the whole world in his palms right now. He can choose to make an impression and I know he will thrive under the pressure cause that's what nani does -- Silence all his critics.

Nani makes it 2 for 2 as he scores a chip today before half-time.

Yeah I read that as well....F'ing homo. I hope he brings it out every once in a while.

The English always subdue the flair players in some way....:(

Wowowoow what a goal by Nani, 2 goals in 2 games, looks very promising that he might step up for Man Utd this season.

But what a classy goal, beats a defender then chips the goalkeeper from a really tight angle.

Considering he has an ankle injury and visibly felt some discomfort after the first backflip then what did you expect? Once he fully recovers I'm sure he will be allowed to celebrate normally. Until then it is stupid to risk further injury.

Definitely could lead to an injury, however I do not believe he was restrained from doing his celebration because of a past injury. I believe it has more to do with holding the integrity of the club AND potentially avoiding a future injury.

At what point will Man U take credit for the talent Nani displays?

Nani is a goal scorer, just like Ronaldo.

Nani will score at least 10 goals for Man united this season for sure!

Probably the same way Man U taught Ronaldo to be a soccer player:rolleyes:

All joking aside, hopefull he will adapt easilly and get some extended playing time, he is a great kid and a wonderful player.

I would caution Man U supporters that he does tend to get full of himself, and that will lead to him being benched...much like Paulo Bento had to do after his National Team call up.

He should get quite a few games as he is immediately the third wing option due to Park's extended injury absence. In regard to his attitude, Ferguson will sort that out.

True, he worked wonders with Ronaldo. You can see it in his development vs Quaresma who is only starting to mature now after years of being considered selfish...which he still is.

I think Nani was also thinking of Portugal when he stated about a possible move to Manchester United. I honestly think that it will be the most effective line-up come 2 years time.

Simao and Quaresma off the bench...

It seems zinho & I are the only ones who feel nani will have a breakout season.

All the pressure in the world will not change his objective, but I believe rooney will love playing with him.

I think his breakout season was last year with Sporting. I still not exactly sure how Nani will fare this season, I am very curious to see how much playing time he will get, and what he will do with the amount of playing time that is given.

If the pre-season is any indication, he will make the most of his opportunity. The only player I'm concerned about is anderson....he may feel left-out.

I have a soft spot for kids growing up in the gutter and watching that doc about him made me wanna shake his hand.
