Just wondering if anyone out there likes this new British band from Leeds? I got there cd today its really good. Also, I am lucky enough to see them open for Coldplay in Detroit. If anyone is interested you can go to www.themusic.uk.com and check out all their tracks.

The Music? Bloody hell, friend of mine who was here from Leeds on study-abroad for a year grew up with some of the lads in this band, showed me some of their stuff last summer! Small world...

I listened to the album at Virgin's import section a while back. I liked it but I couldn't justify spending $30+ for an album that was coming out in 6 months.

It'll be my next purchase, I think.

Its well worth the money spent, it only cost me $10 and that was just the 25th the day it came out.

I ordered it from Amazon on Sunday, hope it gets here quickly.

Seeing them and Coldplay tomorrow night.

Does the Music remind you of the Stone Roses?

    HOLY CRAP!!!

Went to see THE MUSIC and Coldplay tonight. Got my free tickets, and had great seats.

The Music kicked MASSIVE ASS. Coldplay has guts having them as an opening act, but they knew their crowd (older women, the kind who would like Justin Timberlake if they were younger)

Anyway, I have only heard the hit, and I like it - but so all the songs sound great. I can't wait for the CD to show up from Amazon.

Reminded me more of a Zeppelin, with a touch of the Roses. I want to see them again.

Still nothing from amazon.com - they suck.I also ordered the Wonderstuff and that was in stock, or so the communists wanted me to believe. Well it wasn't, and now my order is delayed another week. I might tell them to shove it up their lame ass if it isn't here tomorrow.

Well "Getaway" has me in a trance. I must have listened to that one song for 3 hours straight.

Now "the truth is no words" has a hold on me. These guys are lyrical genius, but damn the music has a great beat.

    Toe-tapping, body snapping jam.

Panicfc, I would strongly recommend that you go out and get some of the Music's eps. They have alot of B-sides on them and are just as good if not better than their full cd.

I know, but the "why don't you just **** me" sort of turns me off. I've got a 14 year old running around and we talk about how stupid lyrics are, and that if Led Zeppelin could use innuendo so could the boys of today.

    Plus Rush never cursed.

Also all these record stores suck over here.

At the Virgin Megastore in Columbus they got in the Getaway Ep and there is no cursing on it. The Jag Tune and Dragon Song are on it. They happen to be two of my favorites. Also, I believe that the Take the long road and walk Ep came out today.

I live in the Country, so I'm going to have to buy via net.

    Sounds good though.

I'm being swayed to buy it after having downloaded 3 songs and having seen them live (albeit half asleep...).

The album is selling here for something like 6$US!!!

Yeah, and I was fuçking tired and overworked, but a random guy at the end of our row passed me a joint halfway through Coldplay and I woke up ;)...

I was gonna buy it today, but finished class at 8:45pm.

I am slowly weaning myself off of The Music, slowly. Now I listen to it 3-4 times a day, and refuse to listen after 11pm.

I prefer listening to the B-sides...

    Jag tune
    Raindance
    Dragon song
    let love be the healer

The original version of 'Take the long road and walk it' is miles better than the album version.

'Jag tune' and 'let love be the healer' are B-sides to 'The people' EP which was released in the UK.

Dragon song was a B-side to the getaway EP.

raindance was a B-side to the newer version of Take the long road and walk it EP...

The original take the long road and is also available as a single...

they can all be bought at www.amazon.co.uk

Maybe you could try and download them from kazaa.

I'm anti-Amazon now after the crap it took to get this CD.

I'll have to shop around, never had much success with Kazaa.

Maybe you can post a message on the messageboard of the Music's official website..
ask if anyone has a website where you can download the tunes..
im sure someone will have them available for download...
I'll see if I can find a site where you can get the tunes...Abit of searching on google might yield some results..
