I asked my mom if she wanted to watch Clerks after it came out on video. Don't think she lasted 10 minutes
She might like the original version that toured the film festival circuit before Marimax picked it up. In that version it end with a robbery with all the main characters being killed. Kevin Smith had some pretty bad instincts when it comes to ending his movies. The distributer that bought the rights to the film talked him into reshooting the ending that it has now. In any case, maybe your mom would dig that version.
I really don't know if this needed to happen or not. Devo (or the surviving members anyway) live in Philadelpha about four days ago.
A running joke in record collecting is that you can find at least five copies of this album for $2. That said, I bought mine at a record store for $2 and quite frankly, it's a great album. Funny enough, this wasn't my first Herb Alpert album, but still. Also, I did not know that he founded A&M Records. Good for him.
It's one of the best $2 you'll ever spend though. That album is great. Crazy enough, that wasn't my first Herb Alpert album. It was the one pictured below. Also purchased for $2. First listened to at my friend's house not too far from the store I bought it from.
For the low, low price of just $12,495 you can be a roadie for me, Gene Simmons, for one evening. We'll dine on takeout Italian, I'll regale you with my sexual exploits and if you're lucky, you can drink some warm beer while you pack up my Kiss outfit & bass. Be a part of Kisstory! Would you spend thousands of dollars to go on the road with your favorite musician—even for just a day? Well, back in March, Gene Simmons revealed that he was offering the opportunity to do just that. The KISS bassist and co-lead singer, 75, dubbed it “The Ultimate Gene Simmons Experience” before slapping it with a $12,495 price tag. Dwayne Rosado, a retired corrections sergeant, and his 13-year-old son Zach paid the fee and got to live out their roadie dreams while The Gene Simmons Band played on Monday, May 5, at the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank, New Jersey. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/articles/fan-spent-12-495-gene-003820689.html
Dang...I got so confused last nite when my printer started playing music. Turns out it was just the paper jamming!
Yoots think this is their biggest hit due to algorithms. They've been tricked! They only had sorta hits
Saw them here Thursday night at a festival. They did not play Satisfaction. They were great. There was even a DEVO mosh pit! Yo La Tengo was great too. New Order was a yawn. Sadly. o On @yossarian’s advice, I skipped Future Islands so I could be up front for DEVO.
Never like to harsh on someone's taste in music (unless they like Steely Dan ) but yeah, Future Islands just annoy me for some reason.
I went into this one last night with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised...great trip down memory lane...
Oddly, I have since bumped into a lot of people who love future islands. They don’t really speak to me either.
