I haven't seen socks like those in a long time. I'm sure they're available somewhere, but that's why my socks looked like.
Then talking of my last post about singing “Father and Son” well this was purported to be the son in the song But, the song came first. Wed 15 Nov 2000 22.31 EST The heir to Italy's most powerful industrial dynasty, was found dead yesterday. The body of Edoardo Agnelli, 46, was lying at the base of a 200ft viaduct in northern Italy after what police said was an apparent suicide. “He had to go” https://www.theguardian.com/world/2000/nov/16/philipwillan The Agnelli family dynasty are the owners of Fiat and Juventus Football Club. Among other trifles. Worth about $18 billion. rained all afternoon here so I did the right thing and revisited a bioflick that I’d watched a few years ago, “Black and White.” The story mainly about Juve over the years, including their demotion to the second division and the Agnelli family. Trials and tragedies. Shakespeare could have written it. if you haven’t seen it or need to revisit it’s on Paramount+ . Best hit search to find it.
Plug here. We use tablets for our music these days, helps when we play as a group. Next in turn calls their song. Punch it in on the tablet from ultimate guitar, no fee, call the key and we play together. Got 450 songs on mine now. Some good some I never want to play again. But if it’s called, some people have strange taste. We use the app ‘song book pro.’ One fee of $7 and it’s yours for life. Enter in your song, chords and lyrics. Change to any key you prefer or stick with the original. It scrolls with adjustable speed. Songs fill alphabetical. And you can put them in separate play sets the order you want. Or just keep your favs in a separate sets. You can make changes to words chords or instrumental riffs and share your changes with the group. You can print from it, I haven’t tried that. WiFi, blue tooth, and can work with email. End of commercial.
Taking requests can be fun. We’d just played our last number on Thursday and a young lady asked could we play Puff the magic dragon? We didn’t want to disappoint, zput it in the tablets, a minute so, it’s nice when we all have the same version and key. I even remembered to take my capo off. It was the best and tightest song all night, that ended on a fun high. edit :
Those socks came back into fashion for ravers in the mid 90s - it was some kind of skatey cross over thing
He hasn't had a hit since Roby started collecting Social Security and he has a $65M Place in NYC plus England & Italy? https://www.hellomagazine.com/homes...m-penthouse-is-biggest-youve-seen/?viewas=amp
Off the top of my head...I started collecting SS in '02. I paid about $12/13k into the program and so far have gotten $775K +/- from it. I wish to thank all you fine people out there. Stay busy! Ps...My SS barely covers expenses. My Billie's stipend is our play money.
Tom Jones & CSNY Tom Jones sits in with Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and cranks up "Long Time Gone" to eleven. You’ll never hear a more rockin’ version. pic.twitter.com/wuNx5fOc3L— 3PickupMusicMan (@3PickupMusicMan) November 16, 2024
It’s a hard life but someone has to do it. Looks like he’s carrying my iPad with my songs for today. Fields of Gold could be one.
Yeah, we were self employed for most of our time. Both barely cover our expenses. We don’t get to play around the world like we used to.
Plenty of melancholy in the music of the 80's and yet, in retrospect, it was probably the best coming of age decade, we were so much better off without the internet and cell phones...
The Psychedelic Furs self-titled debut albums is an underrated gem. Just a great album start-to-finish. With the caveat that I grew up with the US version.
I listened to Mirror Moves the most, it was like the Smiths' Hatful of Hollow back then, also a great listen from start to finish.
