I heard that this Italian guy in Florida today, who lived in the outer area of any Urban city in Florida, made a special journey to Miami.

He went there to the French Consulate to hand them back something in which he does not want anymore.

A Thank you letter from the "FRENCH" government for its help to rid France out of Nazism in WW2.

I don't know his name, but he is around 80 years old and he thought in France to liberate it. 3 years ago, he received a honourary in plaque by France for his heroic efforts. But now, he doesn't want it anymore because as he says "How can i liberate France from Tyrants and murderous regimes, but France closes a blind eye on regimes that need to be closed [like iraq]

Its really a heroic thing he did. Im not American, but i feel a sense a pride, because this man took his glory and what he has gotten as a gift and just gave it back, because of his strong emotions to the current conflict!

If i was to live in Florida, i would have knocked on his door and gave him my own personal plaque!! One that salutes a man that puts up with those weasles!

    Kudos to him :)

Who are you to judge what is patriotic in an American when you are not American yourself?

Get a grip. The present attitude of the American and Israeli right will be the ruin of America and Israel.

Don't you have some sheep to shag?

Full credit to the first poster. He didn't say anything about "American" patriotism; just patriotism in general you Scottish dork.

I don´t believe it´s heroic. It´s rather sad. The man who fought for France tries to "kick France´s ass" by giving back the "thank-You-letter".
    A sad story.

I'm pretty sure the old guy could take France.

You really have a problem with France, don't you?

Gringo, Dante, can we please close this stupid thread? Do we really need another one bashing France?

The Allies didn't go to war to liberate France, it was just in the way.
