...the more things stay the same.

Well, back from the honeymoon and I'm quite shocked and saddened with what's going on in London at the moment. I hope all of our friends are ok.

I'm not surprised that Fortune has gotten crocked already....

I've read a little bit about Glazer's PR visit on MUTV and the protests and all that. I think some of the people at our club might have been a bit blinkered to not expect that reaction... although I haven't had a chance to read exactly what happened, as well as what he said.

Looks like Park has his work permit and that we might be in for one more signing this summer. Not sure about that... but we'll see.

Anyways, it's good to be back and I hope to get caught up to speed as the day goes by...

    Motter: In summary:
-Park was granted his work permit.
-Joel Glazer gave a long interview in which he demonstrated that he has been well-coached by his PR people.
-Fergie, Gill and Sir Bobby all made positive public statements about the Glazers.
-United's big stars (Ruud, Ronaldo, Rio) were linked with other teams.
-Ronaldo announced that he would sign a new contract. (The silence from Rio has been deafening.)
    -Gill defended Rio's negotiating position.
-Stevie G. changed his mind and decided to return to Liverpool. Domino effect on Essien likely.
-Smith and Saha both intend to stay.
-Training began in Portugal and some thought Rooney looked a little fat.
-Fortune injured, out for six weeks.
