I quickly read the link, didn't see a mention as to whether this a grass field or turf.
Turf probably because of all the events they would want, but with the frekin heat and humidity in OKC, it should really be grass.

    Got it.

As we all know, England was the "home" and standard for soccer... for some time in the 1800s.

Both the FA and BL will allow exceptions down to 70 yards wide for older stadiums.

Stadium limits are the major factor.

Wigan and Swansea played on 70 yard wide pitches before they built new stadiums. Heart of Midlothian is an example of a top-flight club currently playing on a 70 yard wide pitch. Fulham and Eibar's pitches are both 71 yards wide.

FIFA allows exceptions to standard pitch sizes if they are confined by the stadium but Stoke City were forced to widen theirs to 74 yards before playing in the Europa League. Tony Pulis has narrowed the pitch to make the long throw a more effective weapon.

Re: Yankee Stadium, while it's narrow the impression is magnified by the TV camera being extremely far away.

I just took the drone tours of Columbus, Austin and Cincinnatti stadia on the MLS website. Silly me was expecting actual drone tours instead of animated tours. In any case, just based on the tourd I'd rank Cincy first, followed by Austin and Columbus. Don't like the Columbus roof. Its dark and looms gloomily over the stadium. Cincy and Austin seem more bright and airy. Of course I like Audi Field best of all.

We drove past the Columbus stadium on the way to Old Crew Stadium earlier in the season. From the outside, the stadium looked very much like it was a stealth fighter - very angular and dark. It was quite imposing. I’m looking forward to seeing the inside in a couple of weeks.

Do you have the link to that guy who films the St. Louis City stadium progress with his drone, from the adjacent brewery?

Haven't seen one of those in a month or two. Excited to see the training campus come along too.

Here's the link to his youtube page. He hasn't done a flyover yet in August.

Went past the stadium site this morning, it appears all three of the big cranes are gone from the bowl/field. Several smaller cranes around the site lifting roofing materials (?), but all the heavy lifting is done.

I dont know where to put this and I really hate starting threads, so I'm randomly dropping it here and I'll let the Stupidface Brigade figure it out.

This guy started a website which shows the ACTUAL kickoff time for every MLS match. Pretty cool.

Just wait until they lay the sod. You'll be able to watch the grass grow.

Yeah, nothing from him (stadium related) since July..... He does have some really cool video of the Union Pacific Big Boy though. If you are into old steam locomotives.

Different guy, just pics, no video, but more current:
