Whole rows of people dressed as red seats in Guadalajara for the nightcap. Mainly in the sideline sections of the lower bowl, but a few in the upper decks as well. Also, most in the crowd are dressed in Mexico home green, which tells me that there aren't a ton of tourists in the building. I haven't really tracked Czech or Korean attendance at prior World Cups, so no idea if that's the norm for these teams.
Korea would have easily sold out Sofi stadium in Los Angeles. This is basically the situation I expected - far more neutral fans than European fans are used to. But the Korean supporters that made the trip made the atmosphere quite good so who cares?
Tickets distributed. Lots of photos of empty seats in the media but we don't know if those photos were taken just after kickoff or half-time.
I watched the whole game. They were empty the whole game. Shame, too, because the second half was great!
There were about visible 30 empty seats the whole game (I counted). Difficult to tell with South Korean fans wearing red shirts.
Lots of rumors that FIFA moved a lot of unsold seats to the secondary market but whatever they did it worked.
I wanted them to do whatever it takes and they did that so I'm fine. The theoretical issue is that they waited until the last minute to put the tickets on the free market which punished the people who bought retail.
Well about a thousand over capacity for the game last night. Social media exploding with visitors from everywhere having a great time across America. Watch parties that will only grow as this tournament progresses. The addition of the NBA finals, Stanley Cup finals and UFC fight at the Whitehouse for America 250. What a time to be a tourist on holiday in America. Sadly the only folks upset are the haters as folks are just having a good time.

Whatever magic they did to sell those last 20k tickets in the last 2 weeks worked and all those rich people who paid thousands to go were very loud. Most pro US crowd in L.A. since... 1994.
