They also got massive numbers for their March friendlies against Portugal and Belgium and sold out 4 of the 6 post-Gold Cup friendlies to close out 2025.

Three matches this season surpassed 72,000 fans, each ranking among the top 10 largest crowds in MLS history.

At the World Cup break, MLS is averaging 22,109 fans per match, up from last season’s final average of 21,988 fans per match. MLS’s all-time record average is 23,234 set in 2024.
2026 MLS TOTAL ATTENDANCE So far after 218 matches TOTAL = 4,780, 375 Average = 21,928 @SetPeace , this are our numbers through the season there are some discrepancies with the attendance reported.
I think I found the error in figures. On April 22nd, New York City hosted Cincinnati at Yankee Stadium. Initially, I posted a rather low figure of 7,099 for the match. Was this a faulty AI figure? Possibly. It's also possible that I neglected to check the source of that figure. Normally, I find MLS, ESPN, Oursportscentral, and team Wikipedia pages as the most reliable sources for attendance figures. So...instead of 7,099 fans in the Bronx for April 22nd, the TRUE, ACTUAL TOTAL was: 17,847. That's an increase of 10,748 MLS fans that night (Wednesday) bringing the total attendance to 194,823 over 11 Matches.
57,741 in Charlotte for USA vs Senegal. A great size crowd but it shows that even a world cup "sendoff" match can't fill an NFL stadium (at least not at current prices).
Average reported is 22,109 x 218 =4,819,762 Our total number so far is. =4,780,375 Difference is. =39,387 staring the second half of the season after the World Cup, should we continue with the new reported numbers?
The total average per-game difference comes to about 181 people. This comes to an average difference of 13 people per game, if you took the 181 and divided it by 15 (home dates per matchday). There is a 100% possibility that the numbers I post at the conclusion of each matchday are either wrong to begin with, or they get adjusted by the home teams at a later date! Best to go with what MLS headquarters are using. Even if their figures are erroneous or even fudged a bit, the person or people responsible for collating the attendance data are getting paid for what they do! Until 2028, the FC Dallas attendance capacity will be 11,004 as Toyota Stadium is still undergoing renovations, unless of course, other areas of the facility are opened up for spectators. Austin is on a 95-match sellout streak of tickets sold, so 20,738 will usually be their number to post, unless something changes amongst the fan base. St. Louis too, seems likely to consistently sellout Energizer Park at 22,423 for MLS games, but this isn't always the case. The other 27 MLS teams will have attendances that will be less predictable, depending on the team's fortunes and whomever their opponents happen to be.
I wonder if the Galaxy are the least predictable sss team. Can go anywhere between sellout and 16k...
The game at Soldier Field on Saturday against Germany has been sold out for a week, so what it shows is that match couldn't fill that NFL stadium, not that it's a universal rule.
Well Soldier field has almost the same capacity as the attendance in Charlotte so all it shows is that the US team can fill a small NFL Stadium for a sendoff match. I make that ammendment.
27,273 @ Toluca vs Tigres Final After 51 matches CCC 2026 Total Attendance TOTAL = 759, 908 Average. = 14,900
They also sold out Atlanta for the Portugal game in March, so I don't think you're actually making any point.
