Seattle is back to being the model MLS franchise. It seemed that Atlanta could do no wrong but here they are having everything go wrong. Meanwhile Seattle is doing the best possible job of navigating MLS' ebbs and flows without sinking into the depths of hell.

Lower bowl sellout at BC Place. Over 27,000 in attendance. Surely, somebody locally can figure out a way to monetize this. pic.twitter.com/N21lHBbCzU— Rob Williams (@RobTheHockeyGuy) April 26, 2026 The announced attendance is 27,589 to watch #VWFC vs #Rapids96 on a Saturday night at BC Place. The largest announced #MLS crowd of the season at BC Place.#VANvCOL#MLS— Har Journalist (@HarJournalist) April 26, 2026
Attendance figures for April 25 are a bit sketchy. Missing 3 places out of 14 (Miami, Nashville, and St. Louis). Also, I noticed two discrepancies in figures I saw. First was Vancouver. MLS site says 27,588, but I also saw a figure of 27,589 as jaykoz3 showed above. MLS says Chicago's attendance with Kansas City was 17,892. I saw another site listing the attendance as 17,992. Typos maybe? I'll post what I've got later today if MLS lists the 3 missing teams. If anyone gets them sooner than that, go ahead and post away, if you're so inclined.
I've got 26,609 for Miami. In addition to Nashville and St. Louis, I also don't have Austin and San Diego. I'm guessing Austin had the usual 20,738?
Matchday 10 Attendances from Saturday, April 25, 2026 Toronto (vs. Atlanta) 13,754 Montreal (vs. New York City) 14,015 Minnesota (vs. Los Angeles FC) 19,710 DC United (vs. Orlando) 14,040 Miami (vs. New England) 26,609 Columbus (vs Philadelphia) 19,903 Cincinnati (vs. New York Red Bulls) 25,513 Nashville (vs. Charlotte) 30,109 Chicago (vs. Kansas City) 17,892 St. Louis (vs. San Jose) 22,423 Austin (vs. Houston) 20,738 (93rd consecutive sellout) San Diego (vs. Portland) 22,396 Seattle (vs. Dallas) 31,785 Vancouver (vs. Colorado) 27,588 I went with what I saw on the MLS site. Nashville hasn't posted its number there yet, but I did see a couple of sites that stated the announced attendance at GEODIS Park was 30,109, which, I think, is capacity for that stadium. TOTAL ATTENDANCE: 306,475 AVERAGE: 21,891 (14 Matches) Coming up shortly, Los Angeles Galaxy hosting Real Salt Lake.
Final number from Matchday 10. Los Angeles Galaxy (vs. Real Salt Lake) 19,773 WEEKEND TOTAL: 326,248 AVERAGE: 21,750 (15 Games)
I forgot to post attendance for the last round of the Open Cup but here are some highlights - the only MLS team hosting that reported attendance was San Jose with 7,868. Like I said - other MLS teams didn't report, but out of everyone that reported not one single game reached 10,000. Even lower division markets that used to guarantee 10k+ for an MLS visit didn't do it this time. Sacramento - 7,513 Louisville - 6,023 (well they were never a guaranteed sellout, but have decent attendance in a great stadium) Chattanooga - 5,292 And a curiosity - 1,902 for a Switchbacks game the same day the Rapids were playing. I was wondering why anyone would show up for the Switchbacks but then I looked up how far apart the teams play (72 miles) so that actually makes perfect sense.
R32 Revs - RI 6,023 (at RI) Naples - Orlando 4,782 Richmond - Columbus 5,046 DC - Knoxville ? Westchester - NYC 5,145 RBNY - Pittsburgh ? Charlotte - Charlotte Ind 3,684 Chattanooga - ATL 5,292 Detroit - Chicago 6,229 STL - Tulsa ? Louisville - Austin 6,023 Houston - El Paso ? Switchbacks - SKC 1,902 Rapids - Omaha ? Sac - Minn 7,513 SJE - Phoenix 7,868
That’s gonna be one hell of an orgy. Also, “switchback” could potentially refer to a number of sexual practices, but I don’t know which one it actually does refer to.
Charlotte - Atlanta 3,315 at the Sportsplex San Jose - Minesotta 10,834 New York Derby 9,000 (ugh so low)
9,000 is pretty good for the Open Cup on a Wednesday evening in Harrison. Last time the two met there there were 9,486.
MLS Attendances for Saturday, May 2 (Matchday 11) Toronto (vs. San Jose) 19,021 Kansas City (vs. Seattle) 16,378 Real Salt Lake (vs. Portland) 20,614 Miami (vs. Orlando) 26,684 New England (vs. Charlotte) 22,831 New York Red Bulls (vs. Dallas) 20,414 Philadelphia (vs. Nashville) 17,430 Atlanta (vs. Montreal) 34,703 Columbus (vs. Minnesota) 18,904 Chicago (vs. Cincinnati) 18,639 Houston (vs. Colorado) 18,889 San Diego (vs. Los Angeles FC) 28,459 Los Angeles Galaxy (vs. Vancouver) 19,429 TOTAL ATTENDANCE: 282,395 AVERAGE: 21,723 (13 Matches) For Sunday, May 3: DC United at New York City St. Louis at Austin
Seems weird that NYC are kicking off at 1 pm on the day of the Five Boroughs Bike Ride, when 40 miles of city roads are closed off for most of the day with side roads and subways congested as people make their way to and from the event. Don't expect a big crowd.
