I really hated what the Miami stadium looked like on TV but much more than that I hated the WWE level over promotion.
Were you bound and gagged and forced to watch it? As I recall about 6 games kicked off 15 minutes earlier.
I am in the wrong thread at this point (should be in the TV thread) but other than that complaining about announcers isn't particularly off topic...
People don't even show up for a Liga MX team in L.A. and the most popular team in the USA can't sellout in Nashville. This competition is cooked.
Some will say that this game should have sold out almost instantly: 🚨Official: Colorado Rapids announce that over 60,000 tickets have been sold for Inter Miami’s visit on April 18. 🤩Another 60,000+ attendance loading for Messi and Miami game. 🔥🐐 pic.twitter.com/HvP1McIPJk— Inter Miami News Hub (@Intermiamicfhub) April 10, 2026
Slightly off-topic, I know: I will be very interested to see how Argentina draws at Jordan-Hare stadium in June. I'm an Alabama alumnus, but I have the misfortune to live near Auburn. I've attended many games at Jordan-Hare, including a few glorious Crimson Tide victories. In the lower bowl, it's a fine place to watch a game. The upper deck, however, is really far from the field even for gridiron football. For association football... I'll let you know, I guess. And nearly all of the stadium is metal bleachers with no shade, so June in Alabama will be magnificent for the Icelanders. Also, I get the feeling that the sidelines will be uncomfortably close to the hedges (surely they will not tear them out à la Athens, GA in '96?). I am also hoping the South Americans and Europeans get to experience a live eagle flying around the stadium as part of the pregame, plus a marching band halftime show. As much as I hate Auburn, the eagle is pretty lit. Despite the fact that it's in the middle of nowhere, relatively speaking, I would be surprised if there weren't 88,000 people at the game, many of whom will be arriving via RV from Mobile, Atlanta, and Birmingham as if it were an SEC Saturday. I never thought I'd see the day when Messi played football at West Georgia Farm College for Slow Children.

Montreal's home opener didn't come close to selling out. For as bad as Montreal has been on the field, their attendance has seemed to be okay. I was there two years ago for an early May Wednesday night match against Columbus which was sold out (and in person, looked full). And now, couldn't come close to selling out their home opener.
Limited capacity for the galaxy in ccc due to school rules. I can't recall the last time this issue came up.
2026 CCC Quarter-finals 24,965 @ Cruz Azul 28,995 @ America 15,473 @ Galaxy 20,036 @ Seattle Quater-finals Total 201,087 average = 25,136 So far after 48 Matches TOTAL. = 630,734 Average. = 13,712
75,824 for Miami @ Colorado today. Second largest crowd in league history (behind the 2023 4th of July El Trafico at the Rose Bowl) and largest crowd for a soccer game in Colorado state history.
Not really, thought the article that came out this week means I don't blame the Rapids for this as it was apparently pushed on them by the league in order to get the game. The league is also requiring them to use the added resources to help the club, so we'll see if anything meanginful come sfrom that.
