MLS Attendance for October 8-12 Los Angeles FC (vs. Toronto) 22,020 Miami (vs. Atlanta) 16,888 Orlando (vs. Vancouver) 23,465 Seattle (vs Real Salt Lake) 31,587 Los Angeles Galaxy (vs. Dallas) 18,312 Austin (vs. Los Angeles FC) 20,738 TOTAL ATTENDANCE: 133,010 AVERAGE: 22,168 (6 Matches) I'm assuming Austin will report a sellout once again, even if there are empty seats. They don't want to see that streak end, which is around 75 straight sellouts, I think. If I turn out to be wrong, well, that's on me!
Why doesn't Mexico play their friendlies in Mexico they ask? 41,235 in Guadalajara when this game could've gotten 70k with higher ticket prices in several us cities. Did the recent storms affect attendance?
40,496 for chivas vs America in Glendale. This matchup should probably stay in l.a. for friendlies, where it has drawn 80k+.
Possibly attendance related: Argentina vs Puerto Rico friendly was moved from Chicago to Miami either due to low ticket sales or immigration crackdown (both explanations given by conflicting sources). Potentially one of the first soccer victims of the current administration - and the world cup is coming. And then, even in Miami:
Suspect there were fewer butts in seats looking at the highlights. The 4-0 defeat in Glendale must have hurt and ticket prices were 1000 MXP ($54) to 5000 MXP. Cheapest Chivas tickets are around $23 on a normal match day.
I don't really have my finger on the pulse of the Spanish communities in the US right now, but I've been told by some media outlets and social media that Spanish speaking people, even legal citizens, are afraid to attend events that will be known to attract large numbers of Spanish speaking people because of immigration policy. I have no idea if that truly is a widespread fear, or something completely blown out of proportion for political reasons.
Most of the recent posts also included discussions of attendance "woes" of matches involving teams from Spanish speaking countries in Chicago, Miami and Glendale.
1 final set of games this weekend will once again push the grand total to over 11 million- considering all the other competitions in the USA- League Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and the Concacaf Gold Cup- its really a tribute to the soccer fans 2024= averaging 23,240 spectators per game, over 11 million fans- a record season 2023- averaging 22 111, 10.8 million
Decent numbers for Decision Day, 2025. Not a complete set though. Attendance for October 18, 2025 New England (vs. Chicago) 36,432 New York City (vs. Seattle) 24,832 Toronto (vs. Orlando) 21,013 Columbus (vs. New York Red Bulls) 20,736 Cincinnati (vs. Montreal) 25.513 Charlotte (vs. Philadelphia) 31,191 Atlanta (vs. DC United) 44,098 Nashville (vs. Miami) Not Reported St. Louis (vs. Real Salt Lake) Not Reported Kansas City (vs. Houston) 16,983 Colorado (vs. Los Angeles FC) 18,258 Los Angeles Galaxy (vs. Minnesota) 17,765 San Jose (vs. Austin) 17,033 Portland (vs. San Diego) 24,920 Vancouver (vs. Dallas) 26,791 TOTAL ATTENDANCE: 325,515 AVERAGE: 25,040 (13 Matches, So Far) With Miami in town, Nashville looked like a full house; approximately 30k. It rained all night in St. Louis, and there were more empty seats than usual, but if those seats had already been paid for, the figure would probably be better than 22k.
Nashville and St. Louis have checked in! Nashville (vs. Miami) 30,109 St. Louis (vs. Real Salt Lake) 22,423 WEEKEND TOTAL (DECISION DAY): 378,047 AVERAGE: 25,203
2025 MLS TOTAL ATTENDANCE Final regular season count ( 510 matches ) TOTAL. =. 11,203,757 AVERAGE. =. 21,968
For all the schtick that is given to thew Kraftys and the New England Revs, their ticketing office needs to be given its' flowers. Attendance has not been an issue for the Revs for a few seasons now.
That might be the worst crowd ever for a LA Galaxy home finale. No matter how bad we are that match is usually near a sell out as unused tickets get exchanged. The Galaxy FO and the SGs never really made up this year. Could bode poorly for 26
Team's almost certainly going to be good next year, and that has a faster effect on attendance than in the old MLS days.
New England Revolution has the potential with a big player name, like Muller, Son or Messi to increase their average attendance even more.
There is a large Portuguese community in Boston. Too bad the Portuguese GOAT won't be available since he re-signed with the Saudis after saying he won't...
