Group tickets were widely available at 10 even into the 2002/2003 range. When I went to a game at Foxboro this season it was 19 something including the fees, which seems about right.

I don’t think that average is accurate, like these games in Houston 20,536 divided by 2 games = 10,268 for each games.
Attendance averages should be calculated per ticketed event. That's a sellout attendance number, so calling it 10K attendance is misleading.
I know, it is how they massage figures to present to sponsors etc, and 18,420 is more impressive than what they really are per game, and on doubleheaders events they save money on expenses too, in CWC there are no doubleheaders.so by using it, the average would be over 50k probably.
In the gold cup they mostly combine teams that won't draw with teams that do. So your math is way off.
