These were 2024 R32 attendances Houston v Detroit 7,540 Dallas v Memphis 4,511 San Jose v Oakland 5,000 Orange County v Loudoun 1,749 Sacramento v Monterey 2,900 Charleston v S. Georgia 998 N. Carolina v Phoenix 822 Indy v San Antonio 4,085 NYC II v Colorado Springs 360 Tampa v Birmingham 2,195 Omaha v SKC 4,733 New Mexico v RSL 5,266 Seattle v Louisville 3,207 Las Vegas v LAFC 3,495
The record attendance for any round was just 20k for like 8 decades. This tournament is actually bigger now then it ever has been.
I predict the lowest week average attendance of the year so far, this was a missed opportunity by Minnesota not to schedule this game at Vikings Stadium
MLS Attendances for Saturday, May 10, 2025 Chicago (vs. Atlanta) 22,741 Toronto (vs. DC United) 20,236 Minnesota (vs. Miami) 19,710 New York City (vs. Montreal) 19,679 New York Red Bulls (vs. Los Angeles Galaxy) 23,225 Philadelphia (vs. Columbus) 18,667 Orlando (vs. New England) 18,805 Cincinnati (vs. Austin) 25,513 Nashville (vs. Charlotte) 25,002 St. Louis (vs. San Diego) 22,423 Houston (vs. Seattle) 19,802 Dallas (vs. Real Salt Lake) 11,004 Colorado (vs. San Jose) 15,003 Portland (vs. Kansas City) 21,287 TOTAL ATTENDANCE: 283,097 AVERAGE: 20,221 (14 Matches)
Who would have thought NYRB would have the League's highest attendance. The Dallas and Colorado attendances were pretty weak. Is the Dallas attendance a function of the Stadium reduced capacity during construction? Colorado has always been weak.
For all the Open Cup supporters (of which I want the Open Cup to succeed) they need to take a realistic view of how poorly the tournament does in terms of attendance even with MLS teams going to USL venues. NM vs RSL 5k, LV v LAFC 3k, Omaha vs SKC 5k. Then look at Orange County v Loudoun at less than 2k with Loudoun flying across country.
I think we all would like the Open Cup to succeed but the loudmouths who slammed MLS for pulling out must of their teams (I wasn't a fan of the way it was done) seem to have failed to back their words with actions. Also, the whole starving lower waifs needing MLS teams to visit just to stay in business representation was bullcrap. It's not the English FA Cup.
True but even with that Colorado will likely be bringing up the rear as I believe the Dick is now the smallest (regular) stadium in the league.
You know this how? As far as I know the only unwelcome soccer team at Empower is Mexico, and even that gets overcome with enough $$$ That said, its a dumb idea anyway.
PayPal's capacity (per Wikipedia) is 18K. DSG Park opened at 18,086 but after some changes in the suites and the north end the official capacity for MLS games (i.e. they haven't rolled in the temporary grandstands they used for National Team games) is 17,424. Though its been a few years since I saw the official number from the team so it may have changed a bit from that.
Do anyone know what was the average attendance for Colorado in 2024 and San Jose ( just PayPal games )
Sunday, May 11, 2025 MLS Attendance Vancouver (vs. Los Angeles FC) 22,437 WEEKEND TOTAL: 305,534 AVERAGE: 20,369 (15 Matches)
Last year's average after week 11 23,459. My God, it's a disaster, MLS is doomed!! I'm kidding, of course.
Midweek MLS Attendances for Match Day 13 (May 14, 2025) Montreal (vs. Columbus) Not Found* Philadelphia (vs. Los Angeles Galaxy) 15,539 DC United (vs. New York City) 14,283 Orlando (vs. Charlotte) 17,007 Toronto (vs. Cincinnati) 14,018 Nashville (vs. New York Red Bulls) 22,549 Houston (vs. Minnesota) 14,266 St. Louis (vs. Kansas City) 22,423 Austin (vs. Atlanta) 20,738 Real Salt Lake (vs. Portland) 19,616 San Jose (vs. Miami) 18,000 San Diego (vs. Colorado) 15,644 Los Angeles FC (vs. Seattle) 22,120 TOTAL ATTENDANCE: 216,203 AVERAGE: 18,017 (12 Matches) * I saw a figure for MTL-CLB, but I didn't think it accurate. According to one AI source, the match was played at Lower.Com Field (WRONG)! Just 13 games on Wednesday, as Chicago, Dallas, New England, and Vancouver had the night off. Still, MLS attendances for midweek matches on the 14th surpass anything the league was drawing 20-25 years ago.
I don't know if your source was google but It is weird that once Google was the bestest of the best regarding accurate results. Now their AI responses hallucinate more ofthen than not. NOT EVERYTHING NEEDS TO HAVE AN AI !!!
Montreal checks in with its Wednesday night (14 May) total. Montreal (vs. Columbus) 16,041 TOTAL ATTENDANCE: 232,244 AVERAGE: 17,867 (13 Matches)
