From what i can see from reading the news it is just a money deal. Benfica needs the money, and i don't know of any player we would be interested in that plays for Valencia.

I think Forca will be able to close this thread pretty soon.

Maisfutebol is saying that Benfica-Valencia-Miguel have reached an agreement, a press conference could be hours away. LFV cut short his holidays to travel to Lisbon in order to close the deal.

In a way, Im glad (if true) that it is over. Close the door on this one. I ask now, with seven million in their pocket, is there any excuse not to be able to afford at least a half decent striker ? Does not have to be a proven striker. They probably want to go to bigger clubs in more famouse leagues. But how about a young striker with promise ? Otherwise what you see is what we got  Good enough to beat Porto but not good enough to compete at CL. Sorry I had to squeeze that Porto line in. I just could not resist. :D :D

Apparently the deal is for 8 million, because Miguel has waived is 10% profit on any possible deal.

Now some of this money will probably be used on a transfer but i am sure they need to pay outstanding bills as well. Last year they sold Tiago for 12 million, and all we got was Karadas, Everson and Paulo Almeida

I heard his apology. He admitted that there were people who were more interested in making money off him rather than help him and Benfica get the best deal. He apoligized to the Benfica fans and Luis Filipe Vieira. Miguel also admits that he went about things the wrong way. I think he also thanked Luis Filipe Vieira for all he's done for him.

I watched it as well. It looked fabricated, but i will take it.

The prove it was fabricated is the fact that on the way out he said the reason why he apologized is because it was part of the agreement, which means he didn't meant a word he said.

I hope Benfica meats Valencia and open a can of whoop ass on Miguel and Co.

Well, I guess the saga is over. Miguel got his wish to go to a new club and gets a fatter paycheck; Benfica gets a much-needed cash influx; and the Benfiquistas, well, the get to see the novela end and get on with the season without him. All the best to all parties involved. Thread closed.
