Not so fast:
France/Mbappe are in the 3rd place game. Goals and assists in that game count towards the Golden Ball Award, and all of the individual awards.

As you know, Mbappe is highly motivated to win individual accolades, so I would expect him to play 90 minutes, to try hard, and to take each and every PK on offer.

The race for that award isn't decided, just yet.

 

he said golden ball not golden boot , if Mbappe score or assist and messi fails to do any of those things then sure Mbappe will win the golden boot but golden ball usually gets taken by someone from the winner team or runnerup and Messi has contributed more than anyone from Spain/Argetina

 

Thats right; I'd mixed those two up.

But, I think its 100% likely that Mbappe will play 90 in an attempt to win personal accolades.

 

He will be the first player to start in 3 WC finals. Cafu played in 3 finals but in 1994 he came as a sub though.
