When Bertolt Brecht visited the US, he fully expected to take a boat from Chicago to California. Maybe this was the map he was relying upon.
I've just kind of always thought of the Dallas logo as glitzy, showy, that sort of thing. It does represent one of the most recognizable logos in North American sports. tho. To me they are the Corporate Team, with Roger Staubach's CEO-lookin' self leading the pack. "America's Team"... Oh, the shameless self-promotion... The Steelers logo is subtle, representing humility, and the one side only logo placement represents financial thriftiness and responsibility. I've heard that they asked US Steel for permission to use their logo because they chose to spend the money they would have paid a design firm to feed hungry children instead. They looked best in blue and white. I've said it for years. Baseball and NBA logos largely suck. They just do. Except the Yankees. They transcend that font thing. It's perfect. And I'm a Braves fan. to whatever degree I care about baseball.
How in dafuq? Were they nekkid? Record attendance 92,003 (volleyball – Aug. 30, 2023) 91,585 (football – Sep. 20, 2014)
They pack 'em in for football--there's talk of making some changes and reducing seating a bit (it's REALLY crowded in some sections; uncomfortably so from what I've heard). The volleyball team played a match there once and sold the place out. Because the volleyball court is so small, they were able to set up seat on the 'field' as well as in the stands, which is why the attendance was higher than any football game ever held there (every FB game has officially sold out since sometime in late 1962). Nebraska volleyball sets attendance records all over the place--has the indoor attendance record for a volleyball match as well. The volleyball team is the football teams' only real rivalry for popularity in the state.
