I think I'd probably prefer that to whatever the hell A-Treat is Also WTF Nebraska, Kool-Aid doesn't even count, or shouldn't if it does
Well, to be accurate, its: ..."topped with yellow mustard, chopped white onions, bright green sweet pickle relish, a dill pickle spear, tomato slices or wedges, pickled sport peppers, and a dash of celery salt..." So, you get the pickle relish and the sport peppers, but no giardinera. Thats for the eye-talian beefs. That said, @Pittsburgh Ref should consider replacing his cartographer, just based on "general principle."
True. Plenty of folks around these-here parts eat the swine anus sandwich. Plenty of folks eat tacos. But who the fvkc eats something called a "horseshoe" in the Land of Lincoln/home of Blagojevich? Your cartographer must be dismissed, sir.
I always associated Big Red with southern Indiana and Kentucky. Kentucky's Ale 8 (really Ale8one, but nobody calls it that) is good stuff. I first came to know of it in high school and it became the center of a whirlwind of inside jokes that still make me smile, but wouldn't make any sense to type out.
French dip was a regular in my college dorm’s cafeteria. It would invariably appear two to three days after “Roast Beef” night. It was served on stale-ish bread and dipped in only-God-knew-whatever leftover drippings would be available. It was pretty awful. I would never go back for a fourth helping on French dip night.
The red one is a cream soda that some say tastes like bubble gum. I don't really get that from it, but I would have never guessed it's a combo of lemon and orange oil with vanilla. The blue one is more of a blue raspberry but still has some cream soda undertones.
Upon my intro to the UP through my now wife, I discovered Diet Red Pop Faygo has the same effect as Ipecac upon a cultured palate. [edited] and I wish this was the worst of it. It's not. Anyway +2 for Phillipe's and Cole's. I tried both when I lived downtown. Both were great, but on a hot day? Ick.
To the Eastern PA folks - is A-Treat still a thing? I spent a lot of time around Allentown as a kid and went back last year; all the A-Treat signs are gone. What's the scuttlebutt?
