Also, whales aren’t fish. Neither are dolphins. They’re mammals like us. They’re the only creatures in the see who could actually understand a map. But no. Fish. ******** them I think this is the phish map.
Same, but many people’s tastes are more siloed. We have a local station that would do that, one of their tag lines is “We are your A-Z station, from Abba to Zeppelin and everything in between.” I rarely listen to the radio but when I do they’re my top choice just because I’m more likely to be surprised.
The older I get, the less I care about what music I'm supposed to like. I'm not ashamed to admit that I like everything from Halsey to Avenged Sevenfold, and much in between. That doesn't stop my kids from calling me an oldhead, though.
Choices of music in general are much more varied than it used to be. Back in the day, the only way you could be exposed to new music was if you heard it on the radio or someone said, "Hey maaan, check out this new rekkid I just bought..." With apps like Spotify, there is literally every kind of music at your fingertips. Like when my then-15 year old daughter was astonished that I knew about this new band that she discovered called The Cure.
I'm from Illinois and I've never seen a "Horseshoe." My wife is from Rhode Island and we visit there regularly. Never seen that thing on a menu.
Cannot disagree. Of greater concern IMHO is the pheasant salad sandwich up there in South Dakota. Also I would be remiss as a Yinzer if I didn't give a shout-out to the Pittsburgh-style sandwich, including fries and slaw. Mostly pro forma, I get that the cheesesteak (or cheese-stake, voice-to-text) is forever #1.
A French dip is Californian? Never heard that before in my life. If anything I’d say a tri-tip sandwich would be our regionally distinctive one, though a carne asada torta might be in there too.
I'll agree with Virginia, Texas, and Hawaii. I've had copious amounts of each in those specific states.
OK. Now I know, and knowing's half the battle. I'd argue that the vienna swine anus sandwich, with mustard [not ketchup] would > the horseshoe in Illinois. Or the eye-talian beef sandwich.
I'm sure this one will be unobjectionable https://www.thrillist.com/drink/nation/best-soft-drink-in-every-state-best-soda-in-every-state
Never been to Cole's (yet) but Philippe's is a must-go. Train to Union Station, run over to Philippe's, swing over to Olvera Street for a taste-test.
I object! Big Gulp is not a specific drink. It's a cup size and soda fountain. And its origin is California. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Gulp
