Thought all the excitement was over after istanbul and then this weeks events, however i now feel myself getting extremely giddy at the prospect of our CL campaign kicking off again on wednesday.

So much so that i propose a competition for all you lot that aren't fortunate enough to see us in the flesh.

    The rules are this -

Tell me what the final score will be on wednesday night and who'll score the first goal.

First person with the correct answer gets a prize of my choosing from the club shop. I'll even throw my ticket and program in aswell.

...Bear in mind that it's more likely to be an air freshener than a duvet set - airmail isn't cheap and i'm not made of money!

I of course reserve the right to exclude anyone who i feel has not entered this competition in the correct spirit.

one guess per person please, and no this isn't a wind up.

    here's mine -
    8-0 Cisse

It is important that we do not allow an away goal in the first leg. We should play cautiously, go for a comfortable, but conservative 9-0 win. And then in the away leg, defend, defend, defend as we did so well against Chelsea and Juventus.

    You guys...!!!

I don't do predictions, been bitten in the arse so many times that my hole puckers at the thought.

Much as I'd like a red duvet and matching lampshade to wear on my head whilst watching matches on TV. I'm going to pass.

Nice thought though. If we get ahead early (if!) and take control. I don't think we'll be out to make ourselves look like manure out there by rubbing it in.
Or we could do a Houlier and go 2 goals up and bunker, then let 2 easy goals from set pieces in added on time!!!!!

First goal by the Lord of the Manor of Frodsham.

How about a pool on Cisse's hair colour and the over and under on new tattoos?

    2 or 3- nil

After scoring one we'll play not to let them score. Natural class will get us a second, and then we get a late one when they try to play at last.
