Things we haven't seen before? Well if you've never watched Fede then I would understand that conclusion

Apparently as far as some on this board are concerned all he can do is run so Bielsa must be in good company?.....

I don't see the drama. Bielsa was just giving him his well deserved props. And I agree with him. I have never seen Valverde play like this before, he's like a man possessed. That first half hat trick vs Man City itself was mythical, like something out of Captain Tsubasa. He's obviously shown many times he's an incredible player, but this last stretch of form may just be his best work yet.

Perfect example of how people are prisoners of the moment.

This same Valverde led a comeback down two goals to Milan, scoring twice before Vini scored the third.

It is literally incredible how easily forgotten what these guys do and not even thst long ago. By next season what Fede has been doing will be forgotten and some here would be back to saying he is finished and needs to be sold.

Those two goals vs Milan happened in a pre-season club friendly. That's a poor example.

It sounds like you have a problem with people who talk shit about Fede. And if you have a problem with people who talk shit about Fede, talk to people who talk shit about Fede.

Seems like you're a prisoner of the moment and get angry when people point that out.

This isn't the first time Fede scored goals, ran up and down the pitch, dominated a field, etc.

Just because some of you guys memories reset every couple of months doesn't mean the rest of ours does and that we can't acknowledge these players have been playing very well in the past and producing at a high level for Madrid.

It's not that deep. Most of us feel like Valverde is in the best form of his life, you don't. But you're the only one attacking the strawman to make yourself appear as the good boy here.

That's what I thought then you said all this..

All that because two guys rightfully agreed that we have seen this verision of Fede and have known this versatility and capabilities.

There is nothing personal or wrong with pointing out people have short memories for the good things and long memories for the bad.

You called me a “prisoner of the moment” for saying this is Fede’s best form. That’s why I responded.

I never said he’s "finished and needs to be sold", so you’re arguing against something I didn’t say. If you’re addressing those takes, go address the people making them, not me.

That's not an insult. That is a reference to our current culture which quickly forgets the past because it's always fixated on what is happening presently.

I never said you did. I said very clearly Fede has shown these capabilities; we already know his ability to shoot, versatility and he's scored multiple goals in matches.

Saying we haven't seen this before is a best an exaggeration from being a prisoner of the moment or just outright not ever watching the player before February 2026.

so you’re arguing against something I didn’t say. If you’re addressing those takes, go address the people making them, not me.

Valverde is the type of player who playing as a forward gives you a hat trick and a win in CL knockouts against one of the hottest teams in Europe (City) but also sacrifices for the team and plays midfield and defense when the back line is decimated by injuries.

Tchoumieni is the type who doesn’t give you goals or assists and refuses to play as CB even when it’s his best position and would alleviate many of the teams problems that resulted from an under strength and often injured defense BUT he will send the team Captain to the hospital and out injured right before a high stakes game against the clubs biggest rival.

It’s a no brainer which players stays if a decision is to be made.

It won’t be hard to find a no talent enforcer, Pablo Garcia and Graveson level player. They think they are the new Makelele and Anelka but they are the generation of French Frauds.

^ such bullshit as usual. Tchou played CB a ton, probably more than Fede played RB and I don’t remember him complaining much about it. He might have deficiencies on the field but off it he has been great. Fede too until this season really. So I’m not gonna condemn Fede either but his behavior has been surprising and disappointing overall.

Among the 3 starting MFs, Jude has had the weakest performances overall tbh. He has had no prolonged "purple patch" since moving to CM.

Yet we barely ever hear any discussions of him being benched or sold.

Because we know his talent level, his ceiling and that he’s not being properly utilized. Bringing in Mbappe instead of a 9 kinda ********ed up whatever ideas we had with him ( and the overall attack) after his brilliant first season. Again, if literally everyone is under achieving we need to examine what we’ve doing in terms of squad build and structure on the pitch. It’s clearly a mess and has never really worked in 2 years. He isn’t immune to criticism and he has definitely been disappointing especially on the ball this season. Gotta see what Jose has in mind for our mids who haven’t really been great in awhile, bar a moment or match here and there.

Jude has to take responsibility for his performance. He played great for 6 months of first season. Second half dip was blamed on shoulder.

Next season also excuse was given that he played with bum shoulder. Got surgery done after CWC and this season was also underwhelming.

Mbappe maybe be the reason for all these "superstars" underperforming, but Jude had great 6 months when Rodrygo was FW in 4-4-2. Take responsibility and perform again otherwise those 6 months were an anomaly.

Also seeing a lot of 'whiskey Sneijder' comparison with Jude among Spanish fans. Jude denied those reports of him constantly getting drunk at pubs.

Hope it's not like Isco denying such rumours and it became obvious when he went out of shape 2019 onwards.

It's very unfortunate that he's all over social media in various clubs with various people.

That's where this whole thing started, a youtuber pointed out how many club pics have him tagged on social media and it kind of went viral, hence his "drinking" celebration after which he did nothing, which is a pattern similar to the Euro where he did the "who else" celebration after a great goal and then went back to basically everybody wondering where he is.

I am slowly checking out on him, but i have to admit that the horrible experience Dortmund have had with his brother and father are contributing to that.

    I mean

so what if he parties? It hasn’t affected his physical conditioning nor his effort

the issue is that maybe he is just not as good as he thinks he is or as we thought he was and that’s separate altogether. But a young rich athlete partying in his days off doesn’t seem like a concern to me as much as he is a position nightmare as he doesn’t seem to have a defined role

The fact we have another team player 1 vs team player 2 on our hands just goes to show how fking miserable this bloody season has been.

Sell Vini or sell Mbappe. Sell Tchou or sell Fede... Fking sick of this shit.

For the sake of this club I hope Tchou and Fede can bury the hatchet because both guys are the last midfielders I'd sell from the current crop of players (alongside Arda).

We really fking need this summer break more than anything. It'll be an opportunity for a hard reset. All the internal conflicts can cool off a bit. Players will get a refreshed perspective due to the world cup, they'll be able to re-establish themselves, play with other teammates etc...

I really hope Mourinho manages to grab these guys by the scruff of their necks right away and whip them into some order. Hope new signings bring new energy and mood in the dressing room, cause it's absolutely foul right now.

And I hope both Fede and Tchou stay, because they're both great footballers on their best day - and we need great players if we plan to win anything next year.
