Westerlo vs Club Brugge 19 Oct 10:00 EST Not on ESPN + Pretty important match for Westerlo. They could bump up into 3rd with a win and will want to stay in top top 6 spots. Club Brugge is tied with them with 15 points, but have been playing very well in the league. Reynolds should hold down the right side as normal.

2-0! #WESRWDM 2️⃣-0️⃣ pic.twitter.com/pPLNOj1rfF— KVC Westerlo (@KVCWesterlo) October 29, 2024
Westerlo vs Dender 1 Nov 15:45 EST Not on ESPN + Reynolds should start again. After a strong start, Dender has started a slow slide backwards, they only have 5 points out of the last 15. 15th place in the league has 12 points, 6th place has 17 points. If is really tight, Westerlo has a great chance to move up if they can get points in this match.
After a few years in Belgium, I'd be curious if Reynolds has stated at all about comparisons between the Belgian league and MLS.
Crowd support and stadium are generally much better in the US (Genk and Gent have great new stadiums, Antwerp, Standard and Club Brugge have great fans). But I think his goal, and that of Westerlo when they signed him after his loan from Roma was to develop and sell in a few more years. This is year two of his contract with Westerlo. His contract is through 2027. I would not be surprised if he is moved in the summer. Two more years on his contract, that sounds like something that both the player and club would agree to. Westerlo has show is willingness to "do what is best for the player" in situations.
Reynolds has had a sort of anonymous year. I had hopes he would eventually take off (like Tessmann seems to be doing) but he's always been puzzling to me. It would be fantastic if he can take the next step just because he is so different than Dest he could be a real change of pace for matchups. His early crosses were great while in Frisco and he's a great athlete in terms of pace, size and strength but he needs a kick in the butt from someone. I guess at least his career has been better than Cannon's.
It's hard to see how it could have been worse, only Cannon is on $750-840k+ in MLS. Not sure that Reynolds could get that at a Belgian mid-table side. He is Westerlo's first-choice and his contract is up in 2027, so they will look to sell him this summer or next. At 23 there's unlikely to be much upside but they should get 3-4 million for him I guess the common feature with Reggie, apart to them both being from Dallas' academy, is that they haven't lived up to expectations: a 19 year-old joining Roma from Dallas for 7 million was a bit of a head-turner, a 24-25 year-old joining Gent or Alaves for 4 million is pretty meh.
Not their fault there was a FCD gold rush after McKennie and Richards. Cannon will recover - he had some weird circumstances and was nowhere near as bad as his value. Reynolds likes comfort so team and coaching changes affect him. He is an absolute physical beast and it's possible a coach will unlock that still.
Westerlo vs Gent 1 Dec 13:15 EST Not on ESPN + Westerlo should be more rested as Gent had the Thursday match vs Lugano. Reynolds should start.
