Juve will look to loan Bryan Reynolds to Cagliari for 6 months if that move happens. https://t.co/mpP6QHjFbV— USMNT Only (@usmntonly) December 20, 2020
If this goes through, and he’s successful, I feel like the MLS floodgates will open, if they aren’t already opening. Teams will take chances on young Americans who haven’t been in the league long in an effort to get a steal. if you’re an MLS team who isn’t actively trying to sign and play homegrowns, you must hate money.
The corona market might actually be helping. Like I said it's cheaper than getting them direct from Europe. Want to get in on that growth market early. Aaronson pulled off that kind of # from not that much greater of a sample. And there's a copycat effect. It's snowballing. MLS/US hit a tipping point.
Adding to this: AC Milan are out of the running to sign FC Dallas and US youth international right back Bryan Reynolds, sources say. Have heard the same below on Reynolds as well, not that Fab's reporting needs any confirmation (though one correction: Reynolds is 19 y/o 😅) https://t.co/W4sOaeFjb4— Tom Bogert (@tombogert) December 20, 2020
So, based on the reporting so far, if Milan's out we're looking at: Juventus (with an immediate loan to Cagliari) Roma Club Brugge Lyon Marseille. I assume Brugge and Cagliari would give him a much better chance of immediate playing time. Lyon (currently top of the table in Ligue 1 and last year's Champions League semi-finalists) and Roma (currently in a Champions League position), probably less so. But at Reynold's age, immediate playing time might not be the most important consideration to begin with.
If I am Reynolds I am making sure the team I a sign with see's me as a RB and not a CB rebuild/prospect. His traits scream CB but there is just something so fascinating about having a guy w/ that size/speed/skill combo at RB.
Why do you say that? (Traits screaming CB) He's a converted striker/winger so his traits scream modern full back to me
Bryan Reynolds is the next USA gem ready to move to European football. AS Roma and Club Brugge have opened talks to sign the 18 y.o. right back - also Juventus will meet his agents. Race on. 🇺🇸🇪🇺 #transfers @DiMarzio— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) December 20, 2020
Not a fan of the Cagliari move. Lots of racism incidents there. I've also been to the town myself and just didn't like the feel of it. Roma seems like a much better option, and I'd also trust Roma considering their recent track record at development has been pretty great.
Dude there won't be any fans in Europe for a long long time, lol. Europe is on hard lockdown. Everything is closed except amazon, essentials plus some businesses. Xmas and new years are basically cancelled.
Honest answer. Only prohibition type places. Would wildly guess 10 places in Berlin (population 3.3 million) Edit... I wrote more of the details but decided it was too dangerous to post it on the internetz... That's it, nothing else.
That's my question. They're top of the league, do they have some new sugar daddy owner or something? Oh sorry, "investor."
Perhaps they see him as a lock to succeed, and are willing to meet the valuation of FCD, and are selling him on taking lower wages for a quicker path to regular minutes. if I’m him, I just want to go somewhere that will give me pt and prioritize my development. The money and prestige can come later if he is successful.
Just speculating here, but Dallas seem to push for deals with big sell-on percentages, so a club like Brugge may be more willing to accede to something like that even if they can't compete with these other clubs when it comes to up-front transfer fees.
I bet they think they can buy him for $10 million and then sell him for $15 million in 18 months or so. Good business.
sounds like a big purchase for a Belgian club then again they're getting big CL money on the regular now.
Hmm Here is where roma would play him https://app.football-italia.net/?re...-bryan-reynolds#article/footballitalia-163771
Italian papers (apparently Il Tempo again) saying that despite Roma and Dallas reaching an agreement, Reynolds has turned down Roma's (initial) offer. Roma's and Dallas's agreement was supposedly for 7.5 million euros, plus 15 percent of the sell-on. See for example: https://www.vocegiallorossa.it/rass...llas-fc-manca-quello-con-il-calciatore-203604
