This is the same nowhere club Hines-Ike & EPB were at. No upside w/ team where he'd want an option to buy and he'd need multiple loans after this to even be considered by the parent club (never if Mourinho isn't there).

What a bad move his original transfer to Roma is proving to be, then compounded by the delusion he was going to play under Mourinho. He should have asked for at least a loan before his value tanked, as the same went for Horvath when Brugge acquired Mignolet.

Need better agents managing these guys. We have to put more hope in Reynolds after Araujo parted.

I was in Europe when this song was peaking and it was *huge* there. Helped this American boy out a few times.

He was subbed on in the 79th in a 0-1 loss.

In the most important USMNT action of the day, Reynolds came on in the 80th minute of a 1-0 loss to Cercle Brugge. Came in for a midfielder.

OK, went back to watch his minutes. First off, it was Club Brugge - I had Cercle on the brain. Otasowie, shockingly, again not on the opposing bench.

Reynolds part of controversy in the 84th - makes a ball-winning tackle just inside the box on Ketalaere that produces what seems to have been a dive. Ref in good position and correctly calls it a clean play in my view - Reynolds with a quick reaction and ball-first, and nearly ball-only, tackle.

Aside from that, he is playing a pretty normal right back, but pushing far forward up the sideline in the rare moments they have possession. All of his other defense so far has been standard positional / modest ball pressure defense.

Wow - 90th minute and it was the best of Reynolds - takes possession at midfield, give and go with the right wing, draws a foul in the offensive corner after getting enough past the defender that he was about to have a look at a cross. The free kick was well-taken, but headed over by Herrmann.

Full time, nothing else of note, but for a short performance, two important plays in his debut. Praise from the commentator and I have to imagine the manager found it satisfactory, at least. In a postgame interview, Reynolds blamed Mourinho for the loss.

KV Kortrijk appears to have tweeted out their 11, with a bench of four (4) players, excluding Reynolds. I don't have the words if this is accurate. Question: who will criticize the manager for failing to use his fifth sub?

Sam Vines is starting for Antwerp, though.

    On the bench:

But then he survives the warm-up to make the starting lineup:

The match has kicked off. Another change at the Guys. Radovanovic falls out in the warm-up. Reynolds gets in. Mehssatou gets on the couch.
