The match was a benefit event for hispanic college scholarships, and included a halftime 6v6 event for some Bud Light soccer tournament.

There were an estimated 10,000 fans in attendance, US fans totalled maybe 50-70?. About 25 people from the American Outlaws crammed into the front rows of the corner section #127. There was quite a nice brawl in the stands during the second half between US and Mexico fans. La Opinion reports at least a dozen people were ejected following the fracas.

The Mexican players were waay more match fit that most of the US squad. I think the Mexican team only made two or three subs (all during the second half), whereas the US swapped players out continually. Cobi, Caligiuri and Mathis are certainly showing they are enjoying their well deserved retirement from the game! :D

It really sucks that there was no television broadcast of this game at all. Ian Feuer played an absolutely beautiful game as a GK, and no one will ever see it who wasn't there. :(

I need to see the OPTA stats before I can formulate an opinion...

Did they play in the 4-3-3 now prescribed by USSF coaches?

I am not sure, but the slideshow analysis reveals that it is all Klinsmann's fault.

Who needs Mexican trolls when we got our own USMNT trolls who take every chance to bash our own teams, players and coaches. ;)

You don't need to reiterate what you already did...

Hahaha. In case anyone is actually interested, the lineup was something like this, though the US freely substituted all game:

    ----------Mathis - McBride-----
    Wynalda - Dooley - Kirovski - Jones
    Caligiuri - Vanney - Lalas - Klein
    --------------Feuer-------------

    - Cobi, Wynalda, Mathis and Caligiuri were .... thicker in the torso.

    - JOB dominated the midfield when he came on and helped turn the game for us.

    - From the looks of it, McBride could've been effective at the 2010 WC. He was a beast. His goal alone was worth the $15. Class act too. The Mexican players showed him a lot of respect at the half and after.

    - GK Feuer, whom I've never heard of, apparently played 20 min in a 1992 match for his only cap. Safe to say, this was his best US appearance ever.

    - And I've never seen Wynalda and Lalas so happy after the final whistle. haha.
