Valdir Is Ok....But Really When Your A Coach You Should Put Players In There Natural Positions.

Thats Why I Think If You Put A Quaresma In The Striker Roles He Would Score Alot Of Goals But Then Again He Is More Of A Winger

What you saying, Quaresma's natural position was as a striker? Since when?

No, he's saying if you put a player at a position, sure he might play that position fine and dandy, but you'll be wasting most of his potential to exceed beyond the limitations of his position.

You guys think Quaresma would do well at the striker position? Well, it is very possible, but atlas we will never know because no coach will ever experiment.

nope but really i think quaresma is a versatile player put him on the backline he probably do well.

but just like nelson who can come up to the wing position there are so many possibilties.

when i was playing in highschool they asked me to play dm but my natural position was cmf,i got so pissed that i just stood there for a half an hour.

i got benched but i didnt give a shite cause the next game i played the striker role and i fell in love being in that position.

like i said some players should be in mixed around to see there true colors.

According to Rádio Renascença (Bola Branca) José Gonçalves (FC Thun) may be on the way to Everton! Yes, perhaps to take Valente's spot...

We should look at this kid more closely...

Maybe the Portuguese Federation should, because after watching the Everton game yesterday i'm convinced Nuno is no longer the answer!

First of all, I'd like to welcome you back, since this is the first post I've seen from you in a while.

Second, how is it possible it took you that long to figure out he wasn't the answer?

Third, when WAS he the answer?

Although the argument isn't with me....

I'll try to answer the third question...

He was the answer when the LB spot of the NT was given to Rui Jorge (at the time playing for Sporting), who is/was less talented for the job than Valente...

I found this piece of news in a official swiss news site (http://www.top11.ch):

I'm not too found of French...never liked it.

So, from what I understand we have great news and bad news.

Bad news is that he has some strange injury in his feet and needs operation. And so, he will be out for 6 weeks...meaning that his transfer to Everton is over (lucky Valente!).
Good news is that this stop of 6 weeks will make him miss a fixture with Portugal U-21 side...meaning that he has decided to go for Portugal and not Swiss! :D ...other chances will be presented to him in the future...but the most important is done: the decision to go with Portugal!

    Yeah, you're right...

...but still, it's better for us to see him miss a fixture for Portugal NR due to injury than for the Swiss NT... ;)

    From the same Swiss site:

It seems that the kid's operation was postponed to the summer break. But the last phase says that the kid can now participate on an international tournament with the U-21 in January (What tournament btw???)...

....it isn't a quote like SwissGCZ has said...but he is getting closer...and closer. :D

I guess we should know very soon. If he accepts then that's it...

I've heard from people that the two Swiss players aren't that great.

But maybe worth a shot looking at them.

Both Ferreira and Goncalves play left-back right?

I don't know how good they are but they were both scouted by the FPF recently and since Goncalves was called to the sub-21s, they must see something good in him.

I don't know if Nelson Ferreira has played left-back, I know that he is listed as a left-sided midfielder and he has 6 goals for Thun.

Well, at this point in time neither of them would start for our senior NT either. Ferreira is a right-mid btw...

    I believe there's a "B" National Team tournament.

If it is a U-21 tournament it's probably some local tournament.

In the Swiss league he hasn't scored yet...but has made 3 assists.

you can check the rest of his stats here:
    http://www.top11.ch

go the the menu that says "statistiques"...and switch the team from Aarau to Thun...
