    Mumbai (yeah, Mumbai)
    Arrive June 10 16:15
    Depart June 11 02:05

By any chance (unlikely, I know), is anybody else on Jet Airways flight (9W) 242 going to Johannesburg from Mumbai the early morning of June 11?

Myself +1 will be in Dubai during that same time. Arrive at 6:45PM and depart for Joburg at 4:40 AM June 11th. Any ideas on things to do in Dubai?

Just myself will be laying over stateside. I've got 12 hours in New York to get from Laguardia to JFK so plenty of time in between. Only problem is that it is from 11 pm on the 9th to 11 am on the 10th. If anybody else is around, feel free to find the 20-something year old repping the away Altidore jersey.

Also accepting applications for things to do, etc. at that time of night/day that still ensure me getting on a 11 am flight

I'm on the Paris-Lisbon (6/10 leaves early afternoon, like 1pm) and Lisbon-Johannesburg leg that gets in at 0530 on the 11th.

I fly from San Francisco to get to Paris. I hope there are no delays from San Francisco because there's only like 2-3 hours in between flights!

    Yellowbismark,

Cool. See you in Paris. Sounds like there'll be a good amount of Yanks going on to Lisbon and Joburg. Perhaps we can get some Tim Howard chants going.

I'm on the same flight as yellowbismark. If we're on time is there enough time to leave the airport at all?

No. The window between connecting flights in Paris is only 2 hours and 20 minutes.

In Lisbon, there is like 3-4 hours, but that's still not enough time to go outside.

I checked the on-time performance of the SF-Paris flight and it seems pretty good. It's on-time about 70% of the time, and the average delay when it's not on time is like 15 minutes. The worst delay recorded was 108 minutes, which if we got that delay--we would probably miss our connection to Lisbon.

Are you guys thinking of bringing/acquiring any euros? I figured with a couple hours to kill in Pariis and four in Lisbon, chow -- at a minimum -- will be necessary. Guess I should get some before I leave.

Bought tickets in the first phase; we are traveling all around and just got tickets that fit our schedule. We had the whole trip set before the draw even happened... We will be going to the final US group match and the R16 if they manage to come through in 1st.

    Attention:

USA - Paris - Lisbon - JNB crew

I got a revised itinerary that eliminates the Paris to Lisbon flight.

Now, it says I have a flight from Paris to JNB, which leaves at 7:10pm and arrives in JNB around the same time as the Lisbon flight would have.... Which gives me a comfy 8 hour layover in Paris.

blou, you're on the SF-Paris flight, did you get the same notice?

I was on the phone for 2 hours with expedia.com getting them to change mine. In the end its nicer cuz all it does is just cut out a flight

For those of you flying through Paris, if you are a Bank of America customer, there are no ATM fees to use a BNP Paribas ATM. I just got off the phone with BoA to alert them to my travel and they told me that. Keep this in mind. Will cross-post this to currency thread momentarily.

Anyone flying from Philly to London on 6/9?

Dave, I get into London @ 6:30 and leave for Mumbai @ 11. Meet over breakfast and swap stories about the VI?

Partha, I get in @ 19:00 and leave at 21:00

Not sure of my wardrobe, but assuming I don't cut my hair, look for a real life Sideshow Bob: tall, slim with a LOT of curly hair :-D

  25. I'll be in Heathrow on 6/10 from 1230 to 2000 local. I'll get y'all into the Admirals Club if you're interested, let me know.
