There was a suicide bombing in the Coastal Town of Netanya, which is around 2 hours from Tel Aviv and about 5 mins (from its district municpality border) from the West Bank City of Jenin.

A 19 year old, Jenin resident detonated a bomb in the London Cafe (which is also an internet cafe) and injured about 58 people, though reuters, BBC and CNN claim it was 30. Evenso, many were treated for minor injuries and shock and only 1 person, a soldier was injured badly, but stabilized after.

The thing that was intresting about this Suicide bombing, is that like most bombings, it happens as the Terror groups say "reaction to israeli assaults" but lately, there wasn't any, and the last one was probably 3-4 weeks ago. So what were they saying?

Clearly, when Islamic Jihad, the group behind the bombing went and faxed Western Papers the responsibility claim, they said it was in solidarity with Iraq and its conflict and mentioned Palestinian Suicide bombers in Iraq ready to go to the next step in life where they will get "9 year old virgins and unlimited amount of yoghurt"....

some dream that is....Probably something Joespeph Poskovitz is looking forward too ;)

The suicide bombings occur whenever Hamas and Islamic Jihad have a chance to commit one. They then take whatever the most recent events of the week were and say that it was a "response" to whatever the Israelis or Americans did today.

So since this was the first one that IJ pulled off since the war began, it inevitably was a reaction against the "American Aggression in Iraq." Had there been no war, it would have been to "avenge" the capture or assassination of some militant, or the demolition of someone's house, etc.

This doesn't surprise me. What surprises me is that so many people then fall for it and say "You see, if only America didn't attack Iraq" or "If only Israel would withdraw to the '67 borders" than this would never happen.

Darn US lefties and anti-war protestors blowing themselves up in their hatred of all Jews! When oh when will The Nation and the Greens stop endlessly quoting the Protocols ofthe Elders of Zion and Mein Kampf? When will Ralph Nader and Jim Hightower stop trying to deny the Holocaust ever happened? Man, I wish the 200,000 anti-war protestors weren't calling for The Final Solution!

OK, sarcasm aside, this is horrible. IJ can use whatever "justification du jour" they want but there is none. It has nothing to do with helping anyone and only has to do with the blind hatred that is too common on both sides. No doubt Israel will (understandably, if not wisely) "respond" and the cycle will only continue until someone over there grows up. Naturally, each side will say it is the other one's that should start. It's sad and I wish I had some great magic solution to it but I don't because the hatred over there is completely impervious to reason.

Well, Israel did respond late last night, by demolishing the suicide bombers home in Jenin!!!!

This is pretty odd, cause the bomb he was strapped it, wasn't that explosive, and i think that most of the injured are just from shock and only 15 people were actually wounded!

Intresting way to end a life, for a 19 year old?
